Municipal House

The construction of the Municipal Building involved the efforts and output of many of the leading artists of the period. The designer was Antonín Balšanek with the help of Osvald Polívak. They intended the building to be both a cultural center and a statement on art. Without and within the evidence is clearly in their favor. Look up above the entryway at the mosaic.
