Jubilee Synagogue Prague

The name derives from an attempt to honor the 50th anniversary of the rule of Franz Josef I. The façade is a colorful Moorish design. This is a contrast to the neighboring houses and some of the exterior design features. Facets of the structure include various brightly stained glasses bearing the names of their donors. It also has, as part of the façade, a rose window bearing the Jewish Star of David. An arch marks the entryway. Above the entrance is a grand old organ. The Synagogue also has an upper balcony on the side for women. In all, this Synagogue has 850 seats.
