Namesti Republiky Station Prague

The Namesti Republiky Station in Prague is the central location for the metro which is comprised of three lines. Each of these lines is represented by its own color on the maps and signs. First, there is line A which is green. Then, there is line B which is yellow. Finally, there is line C which is red. There are 51 stations in total and three of these are transfer stations that are connected by more than 50 kilometers underground railways. The metro service operates between 5 am and midnight every day and the Namesti Station is also open during these hours. Over 420 million passengers use the Prague metro every year and most of them pass through this Namesti Station. Prague's Old Town was Kafka's lifelong neighborhood and he once said "This narrow circle encompasses my entire life". On the perimeter of that "narrow circle" is Namesti Republiky, located on the edge of Old Town. It is reachable by the 5, 14 and 26 trams or the B Metro line. Less than a block up from the square, in the direction of the tram tracks, is a white building with a green dome. It's the Worker's Accident Insurance Company of the Kingdom of Bohemia, where Kafka once worked. This area always attracts visitors due to its rich history.
