The B&B Auditorium di Mecenate, name derived from the Villa di Mecenate accidentally discovered in the Esquilino area in 1874, represent an ideal accommodation for those who need to be accommodated in a comfortable and elegant place, with all the necessary services for a pleasant stay
The location very close to the major points of interest such as the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, San Giovanni in Laterano, Roman Forum and Colosseum and Venezia Square, makes The Auditorium di Mecenate a strategic place, where people are able with a short walk to admire the eternal city. This place is an ideal accommodation for both tourists and business men. Within a walking distance from Termini train station in which is possible to have any kind of public transportation, it is very easy to reach any other attraction of the city.

By Plane:
Leonardo Express train and Terravision bus companies have good connections From/to Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.
Then you could take the Metro "A" line for one stop and get off at the Metro Station "Vittorio Emanuele" , from there is about 5 minutes walking to Via dello Statuto 44 where the Auditorium di Mecenate is located.
By Train:

Friendly staff, room was clean and breakfast was ok, good location easy to find. overall saty was good and would probably stay there again due to the price

Good location and value for money. clean and nice bathroom. the staff who spoke english were friendly and helpful.Our standard double (room 4) was just off reception and walls/doors were very thin. were often woken as early as 7am by the doorbell and conversation of the staff and other guests. you request what time to have breakfast delivered to your room on a tray - consisted of a sweet machine 'cappuccino' which barely tasted of coffee and packeted croissants/biscuits. on arrival the only member of staff in the hotel did not speak english so after being shown to our room we were told to come back later to register which was slightly inconvenient.Brother George R. Good location, not much else to say.Rooms not cleaned each day, no tea or coffee making facilities, have to pay for extra tea and coffee, no shower gels or soaps in room, no clean towels for three days. overall we would not stay there again.Anonymous

Within easy reach of both termini and victorio emanuelle metro stations. room was clean.Breakfast was supposed to be included but it only consisted of cup of coffee made from a machine, packaged croissant (no butter)and a small cake. it's arrival was also hit and miss...no telephone or coffee making facilities in room. tv was also all in italian. reception staff did make us a cup of extra coffee when asked! early wake up call was also missed. also maintainance needed in bathroom. The room was very clean and the environment was friendly. the owners appear to be italian/russian. they didn't really speak english well but it wasn't very necessary. The place was very quiet as it would be extremely bothersome to other guests - the hotel was set up like a small home with separate bedrooms & therefore we were able to hear everything in the hall. luckily, everyone was very respectful and quiet was maintained.Melanie Fortune

Excellent city centre position. easy to get to from airport via taxi 35 euros. very helpful russian staff- we had two rooms, they were cleaned well and both rooms fairly well equipped although not to the spec of web site! Breakfast a little sparse - on a tray in your room. not all rooms have the ceilings advertised and no telephone in the rooms. single room has no hanging space and neither rooms had a safe as advertised. only bad thing really was the noise as the hotel is on the third floor of six floors so the lift is noisy and bad value for money for a single traveller - you pay the same rate as a couple and then get a tiny room!Anonymous

The room itself was clean and stylish. the desk personnel were helpful and friendly. i really love the location, especially as i had to travel by train both to lecce (in puglia) and to the airport. i would love to stay here again. the esquilino, the neighborhood, is lively and charming.I would have liked to have another bar of soap provided, and the towel was a little bit thin. it really should be changed every other day. otherwise, nothing was wrong.Amanda

It was in a nice neighborhood and very close to the metro and several ggod resteraunts and gelaterias. the room was spacious with a lovely painted ceiling and all the furnishings were clean and new. the staff brings breakfast into the room.The girl working there did an excellent job cleaning the room but the man there did not.
