Franklin Feel the Sound is a modern and stylish hotel, very close to the Vatican Museums, a peculiar place that will be a treat to real music lovers. Founded by a musician, Franklin hotel offers a CD library of 400 selections which is available to guests (all rooms have CD players and are soundproofed). During your stay you will also receive complimentary room service and a daily newspaper.
As the name suggests, the hotel is entirely music-themed and features rooms dedicated to different genres, such as Pop, Rock and Blues, each equipped with state-of-the-art CD players. The room facilities: LCD TV; phone; Bang & Olufsen CD set, Sky Tv, WiFi free. Deluxe Rooms offer the above facilities and services in addition to a private garden, LUSH products for the body, a whirlpool bath tub and one complimentary dinner.

How to reach the hotel?Getting to Franklin Hotel Rome by Airplane:
From Leonardo Da Vinci airport (a.k.a. "Fiumicino"), located in the outskirts of Rome:
Simply take the Rome train from the airport. Once at "Termini" railway station, in Rome, take subway line "A" towards the direction of Battistini stop and get off at the "Ottaviano" stop. The Hotel is within walking distance, just as the Vatican Museums.
Getting to Franklin Hotel Rome by car:
Rome is surrounded by a large expressway ring, called Grande Raccordo Anulare ( Roma G.R.A. on signs) . Follow the ring until you approach Aurelia exit and exit there. Follow the Aurelia Road, an ancient Rome street and then take via Ubaldi towards via Emo, via Candia, via della Giuliana, via Rodi 29.
Getting to Franklin Hotel Rome by train:
30' Take the train from the airport towards Termini Station. From the Station, take subway line "A" towards the direction of Battistini and get off at the "Ottaviano" stop. The Franklin Hotel Rome is within walking distance, just as the Vatican Museums.

Staff were very friendly and could not do enough for you, rooms were clean and small but perfectly formed, free mini bar which was re stocked daily and the free breakfast was tasty location was good with the vatican within easy walking distance and all over sites just a short tube stop away
The hotel did not have a bar or restaurant as stated when i booked, they did however brew their own beer on an evening so you can have a drink at night, the rooms were not soundproofed as stated and the toilets were the loudest.longest flushing toilets i have ever heard, the easy to book directions for the hotel were not as straight forward as we thought but the hotel do offer a collection service which i would highly recommend even at 45 euro's it saves you the hassle of lugging your cases around rome, Miss Hayley Whitehead

We really liked this hotel it was very clean and quirky..breakfast was really nice we had a small courtyard to sit in which was nice and we abused the free mini bar. really liked the cd player in the room it created a nice ambiance whilst we were planning our day ahead. the location was good as there was some live jazz bars and nice restaurants close by.Anonymous

Interesting and different quirky hotel - liked it a lot plus all the little extras in the room.Breakfast wasn't much to write home about - simple continental. everyone was confused with what to do / how to get a coffee - the person helping each day didn't say a word to you!
the rooms were looking slightly shabby and well used. you could start seeing this after the first 'wow' impression.
location of hotel also bit far out - had to use the metro to get anywhere but the vatican.Anonymous

The staff were fantastic, very helpful with providing us with detail information while we were at rome. the breakfast was good. our room was beautiful and big.it is very close to vatican city and the bus stop to town is very near( about 15 min ride). Lovely room and great staff. although the location at first was felt to be a little distance from the main attractions in rome, it actually turned out to be a great distance from the metro which made getting heavy cases there quite easy, but it was also quiet and actually a good 'strolling' distance to the vatican.A little disappointed by the reality not meeting up to the expectations of the 'rock room'! however, clean and comfortable. i would also comment on the payment - it should have been possible to pay immediately online when booking - we ended up paying nearly £100 more due to the change in exchange rates upon our departure which was very frustrating.Anonymous

The hotel was very clean,quiet,confortable and the location was good. the staff was excellent, very helpful and understanding of the english language. there was always a excellent greeting upon contact by the staff.i was very pleased,satisfied,and happy that we picked this hotel for our trip. i would recommend this hotel to family/friends and wish to return someday.The hotel web site offers a bar and upon arrival there is no bar available for night cocktails. this is the only negative thing i can say about this hotel, everything else was wonderful.Anonymous
