Hotel Gallia is a classical styled structure, located in the historic centre of Rome, in front of the Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore and very close to Piazza Vittorio, San Giovanni church and the Colosseo. Hotel Gallia is located in a nice building from the end of the nineteenth century in the historical centre of Rome and the hotel is completely and elegantly refurbished in 1999. One of the charming characteristics of the hotel is the panoramic terrace from which guests have a wonderful view of the historic city and its monuments.

Breakfast on the roof top was lovley, the room was ok and having a balcony was lovely. the bathroom was huge and seperate shower was great.
Compaired to others i have stayed in the hotel did not feel like 4 star, more like a 2/3 star and therefore i felt was rather expensive for what you got. Brian King

The hotel was within easy reach from the metro line making it cheaper to travel from the airport, it also was close the colleseum and within easy distance to the metro to get to the other sites. the hotel was clean and simple no hassle from staff.I wouls like to have seen some thing warm for the breakfastAnonymous

The location was excellent, just a few minutes walk from the bus and train station so no need for a taxi but far enough away from the crowds there. right on the doorstep of santa maria maggiore and a few minutes walk from the colosseum and forum. all the sight-seeing buses stop at santa maria maggiore so it was easy to pick them up too. staff were helpful and the breakfast was good.Anonymous

Location close to termini very useful. staff helpful. breakfast very good, lots of choice and plenty of it , served well, staff always in attendance for other needs. safe and mini fridge in room useful.decent size room.Cleanliness of room very poor, especially bathroom tiling. i would have preferred a shower enclosure to the wet room style, keeps the rest of the room dry.Anonymous

The hotel is located near a huge square and cathedral about 10 mins walk from termini - so, very central. the staff was very friendly and helpful. we had asked for a quiet room and got a very big room overlooking a coartyard. the room was well equipped with reading lights, a lack in lots of other hotels! we would definitely like to return to rome and will stay at the hotel gallia again.
