The 3 star recently renovated Hotel Hiberia is one of the oldest such hotels in Rome and close to the historic centre. The hotel is equipped with a bar and on site restaurant.
The hotel is only 5-10 minutes of walking from Quirinal Palace and Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps and Colesseum.

How to reach the hotel?Directions from fiumicino airport (Leonardo da Vinci)
You may take a taxi from the airport, at the cost of appox. EUR 45 – 60. You might also catch the train "Leonardo Express" to Termini Station, at a cost of EUR 11 per person.
Directions from termini station
We are about 1,5KM (one mile) from Termini Station. Here are the alternatives to reach us:
a) By taxi. Leave the station from the front Exit and go to the Official Taxi Rank. Official taxis have a light on top and code numbers on the side door. Do not go with anyone that comes up to you in or around the station area that offers to help you with your luggage telling you to follow them to a taxi - it may be costly!
b) By bus. In the area in front of the station there is a bus park. you can get there number 64, 40 express or 170 and get off at the stop in via Nazionale for the ''Quirinale''. We are just around the corner in via Ventiquattro Maggio at N° 8. Bus tickets must be purchased beforehand, either from a machine near the buses or any newsagents or cigarette shop "Tabacchi'' and cost 1 euro each. You should validate your ticket in the little yellow machine on the bus.
c) To walk. Go out the front entrance and across the bus park and opposite you will find a tree lined street called Viale V. Einaudi which brings you to Piazza Della Repubblica. From there take the main street on your left this is Via Nazionale, walk to the end of this street, you will see a little roundabout with Palm trees, and we are in the turning on the left hand side, Via Ventiquattro Maggio at N 8.

Location, location, location. you could not ask for a better location in rome. 15 minute walk at most to all famous sights (10 minutes to trevi fountain and 5 minutes to monument to emanuelle, it is literally down the street from the president’s palace). st peter's square and vatican is 30-45 minutes walk, or 10 minute bus ride. breakfast selection was reasonable, however getting down earlier ensures the breads and croissants are fresher.The hotel room was small, but if you are going to rome to stay in your hotel room then what are you going to rome for.Coyle

The location was ideal and i felt very safe. the free breakfast offered by the hotel was far beyond my expectation (based upon other experiences in italy). the staff were very friendly and informative. the hotel and rooms were very clean. my overall experience was excellent and i would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to rome. i even had a single room which i expected to be very small but both the room and bathroom were a nice size, especially for the great price i received on your website.The internet did not work in my room. because i did have some work to accomplish while traveling, this was a huge inconvenience. the staff tried to fix it but were unsuccessful.Anonymous

Very friendly staff:i asked for a room with a view, and was really pleased with the one we got. excellent location, a few minutes walk from the main sites, very manageable even with a young child. despite this, the hotel was very quiet, we couldn't hear the noise from the traffic outside at all. our little one loved the 'secret doors' leading to the restaurant and the upstairs, and the old fashionned lift.Can't think of anything negative about the hotel.Anonymous

I took my mum to rome just have she had an operation on her foot. hotel hiberia was fabulous because it was close to everythng including a stone throw away from the trevi fountain!!!!The room was a little cold when we arrived but the staff were more then helpful to fix the heating.Matt Leahy

Great location very central for all the sites in rome.excellent drop off and pick up service from the hotel.room was good and big enough for our family of 2 adults and 2 children.the children enjoyed the large jacuzzi bath. This hotel is excellent for its location we never had to use a bus or train even to the vatican it was only a 20 min walk,however the downside is that the breakfasts are slow and we had to wait several time for cutlery and plates.also there were times when no hot food was available and again had to wait for this to be rectified.Robin Michael Fegan

It's location and the friendly staff.When we arrived there wasn't any evidence of our booking. we booked a deluxe room and ended up staying in a standard room. the reasons we booked the hotel were for the advertised views, room service and jacuzzi bath none of which we were given due to being in a standard room. i don't think i'd book with your website again due to this, however the hotel staff were very acommodating.Mr Steven Cooper
