Description
The Mecenate Palace hotel is located in Rome's historical centre, a short distance from the Roman Forum, the Colosseum and the Opera House, with convenient public transport connections to shopping and business areas such as piazza Barberini, via Bissolati, via Condotti, and the Spanish Steps.
The Mecenate Palace Hotel has been recently renovated and is comprised of two adjacent buildings, one overlooking Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore, which dates back to 1887 and the other on via Carlo Alberto, that was built a few years later. The renovation work was carefully planned to restore the building's façades and the romantic interiors to their original splendour.
Guests can relax with a drink in the hotel's panoramic roof garden. The hotel has 59 rooms, 3 suites, a meeting room for 40 persons, an Internet Point, a private parking and laundry service. Guests will be greeted on arrival by our helpful and friendly staff.

Hotel and staff were excellent
The hotel had no reservation for us from easytobook.com when we arrived despite us having printed confirmation . they were fully booked but the receptionist went to alot of trouble to get us an alternative hotel for the first night. we will never use easytobook.com again and would warn others to book direct or at least check with the hotel before travelling they have received confirmation of your booking.Anonymous

The staff were friendly and helpful, the room comfortable and clean, the breakfast good for continental europe and the location is excellent. i'd recommend this for city breaks and businessThe room was very warm without any way of really cooling it down. the hotel probably deserves its 4 stars but somehow there's something missing which i can't put my finger on.
