The Morgana is a Superior First-Class hotel, recently renovated in Fall 2004, in the heart of historical Rome, within walking distance to the Coliseum, Roman Forum, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, Opera House, main train station "Termini", shopping district, etc. Travellers can easily reach other interesting and famous archaeological sites by using the near underground or bus services. The Hotel is also well connected with the Fiumicino airport , "Leonardo da Vinci" whose shuttle service stops at the near "Termini" station.
How to reach the hotel?We are situated near the main Station for train, bus and subway.
By car:
- Take the G.R.A.
- Exit at number 14 (A24) in the direction city centre.
- Proceed to the last exit on the Tangenziale Est (the last one), following in the direction of Stazione Tiburtina.
- Pass the first gate and drive along the Tiburtina Road.
- After the door of the ancient walls, turn right and follow the indications to Termini Station.
- Passing under the gallery on your right and drive up Giolitti Street.
- Turn at via Cattaneo, you will find the hotel on the first block to the right.
By train:
- Take a train to Termini Station, you find yourself in the station's concourse.
- At this point, take the station's exit on your left hand side (having the trains behind you).
- As soon as you exit the station, turn left.
- You will find yourself in Via Giolitti, take the first street; Via Gioberti on the right.
- After a few metres, turn left into Via Filippo Turati.
- After 100 metres you will find the hotel on the left (estimated time: 4-5 minutes).

The stuff were very kind and professional. they always had the time to explain locations, give recomandations ect.
First of all, when i arrived at 1:00 at night and was very tired, i was surprised to see that i don't have a resevation! and worth, the hotel was fully booked!

We found the hotel to be perfect for our short stay in rome the staff were helpful and professional and the situation was a good location for access to the metro although some of the places we wanted to visit were within walking distance.The decor in the bedrooms was perhaps a little dark and more lights would have been good.McCabe

We arrived 45 minutes before our check in time and were greeted by exceptionally friendly staff who all spoke excellent english. the room was a family room and was more than adequate. the bathroom and room were spotlessly clean. breakfast is a continental style and is served from 06:45 which is ideal as it then allows you a very early start for sightseeing.Anonymous

The hotel was very easy to find from the termini and the directions provided were perfect. our room didnt look like the pictures on the internet but it was still very nice and exactly what we wanted, the staff were very helpful and plesant.
we were going to get the open top bus to explore rome but as it was raining found that everything to very close by, the colesseum took about 15 mins to walk to. the vatican about 45-60mins but as u were taking in the other sites around you , u didnt really notice the time.
overall we had a lovely stay here There was a smell of drains in the corridor onthe first floor but that didnt affect the room at all.Jens Riis

The hotel staff were excellent, particularly the night porter. room was cleaned every day. location was ok, very near the termini (walking distance 3 mins or less) and two blocks from santa maria maggiore. great restaurant directly across the road - trattoria giovanni - great food and the owner valentino plays great guitar at the end of the night if you encourage him! very, very reasonably priced for the quality of the food by rome standards. Room was somewhat overheated, but opening the window fixed that !:) english tv channel choice was limited to 1. no international news channel. no bar, and our one attempt to get a drink in the small foyer/sitting room at 10:30 pm ended in failure. no restaurant except at breakfast. street was very noisy at night. a good distance to the "touristy" parts like the via veneto, trevi fountain, spanish steps - 10 euro for two in a cab including tip or a half hour walk. vatican was further still.Anonymous

for some reason while we had booked two rooms only one showed as booked when we arrived. this did not cause a problem and both our friends and us were given free upgrades.
