This new hotel is set within the enchanting atmosphere of Via Veneto, in the heart of Rome, close to the historical sites and shopping areas, as well as to the Embassies and main Italian Ministries.
Situated near the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Galleria Borghese Park, the hotel offers easy access to the main sights of the city, which are all within walking distance. From the main station Termini: approximate distance 1.5km. Here you can take the bus 910. Get off on the 4th stop.
From the Barberini square (subway): approximate distance 800 meters
Follow Via Veneto, at the American Embassy turn to the right on Via Boncompagni, go straight on until you reach the crossing with Via Piemonte (3 blocks). You will immediately see the hotel to your left. Otherwise you can take bus 80, 52, 53, 63 or 630.
By car: Take the ringway “Grande Raccoro anulare” in direction: FIRENZE
Take exit n° 8 “Salaria” in direction: CENTRO/VIA VENETO
From Via Veneto you have to go left in Via Boncompagni (point of reference: American Embassy). Follow Via Boncompagni for 3 blocks and you will reach the crossing to Via Piemonte. You will see the Hotel on your lefthand side.
How to reach the hotel from Fiumicino airport: (Approximate distance 35km. Just take the shuttle train to the main station Termini.)
By train: The “Leonardo Express” train leaves every day from Fiumicino Airport station every 30 minutes and it stops at the Termini Railway Station without no mid-journey stops.

The room was basic (not 4 star standard, more 3 star), but clean and had what you needed. the breakfast was very good, and had a good setting.The staff are not accomodating if there is a problem or an issue. they are helpful if you are looking for tourist information, but if there is a problem (like the bedroom air vent going into next doors bath room meaning no privacy). anything outside their comfort zone they will not help. the problem is the comfort zone doesent stretch very far!!!!Mr John Fields

The location was pretty good for the priceWe asked to move rooms after the first night because of the noise from building works in the gutted rooms next to us. there's no way anyone should have been put in our room (442) while that work was going on. the room and everything in it was covered with dust.
the second room we were put in was like an oven at night, despite the bad weather outside. we were unsure if the air con worked but whatever it did it made a hell of a lot of noise doing it.
all in all, don't be fooled by the fancy website. this is a 3* hotel. have a wander down via veneto/ludovisi to check out rome's best hotels.
the breakfast wasn't 4* standard at all, nor was the breakfast room.
the cleaners started hoovering and banging the hoovers against the door at 8am, even with the 'do not disturb' sign on it.

When we arrived, the hotel was overbooked (!) and we were sent to a very simple room at hotel elesio.we had to stay there for one night.so we did not get the room that we had ordered at romanico.very disappointed.back at romanico the next day we got a very small room on the ground floor with the view of a sad backyard. thoug we had ordered and paid for a de lux room with a pretty view.we complained, and finally we got a fine room at romanico.Erica Morgan

I stayed at there last weekend - 7th to 10th of feb and we had to change rooms beacuse they were clearly refurbishing a number of rooms on the 5th floor and the noise was immense. we changed changed rooms and discovered that night we had a double bed with two twins pushed together as a double, which kept moving apart. Very clean hotel, staff are very friendly and willing to help, our lack of italian was never too much of a problem. room was very nice (upgraded room), jacuzzi bath!! good cleanliness. breakfast was fine, self service. bar service in the evening was also good. reception also helped us arrange transfer to the airport and stored our luggage on departure day.
the location is good as the tour bus stops a few minutes along the road. it is also a 15-20 minute walk to the spanish steps.Not really a negative experience but the hotel does not offer food/snacks for room service, only drinks from the bar. we arrived at about 10pm and would have preferred to have a sandwich or something light to eat rather than heading out.Mr Neil Grant

The hotel is in a good location near shops and bars and the staff are friendly and helpful. the hotel looks very nice from the outside and the downstairs reception bar and seating area lovely. location is in one of the more upmarket areas of rome. lovely breakfast room and terrace on 7th floor would imagine it is really nice to sit out on warm evenings.The small drawer in the bedside table had been used as an ashtray and it took several attempts to explain to the staff to get it removed. our room only had a shower(quite small) if you really want a bath i would suggest to email that fact.
