Very well run hotel. perfect lounge with huge leather club chairs, very friendly staff, super clean, well maintened premises. there is an air of relaxation and comfort. huge comfortable beds (we had a double room) coffeemaker in the room and an icecube maker on each floor. excellent breakfast, very hard to find in italy in a non american type hotel. large rooms, clean, tidy, warm (april 08 was chilly) and great bath.
altogether a memorable experience. we loved it (couple in our thirties) and an elderly couple travelling with us (occupied a junior suite) also were very happy with everything.Anonymous

An incredible warm and pleasant atmosphere. a very comfortable and clean room, with a wonderful terrace. very helpful and nice staff at the reception desk and also very nice and obliging people serving for breakfast. an excellent location for getting everywhere on foot.

We booked this hotel on the strength of these reviews, so we are very keen to tell it as it really is.
we found hotel residenza to be everything we wanted, although small, only 30 rooms, and in a side street off the main tourist routes, it was perfect for a weeks stay in rome. in fact its location proved to be a real bonus as it really was just off the main tourist route of via veneto and very easily accessible from piazza barbarini, the nearest metro stop.
from the outside the hotel does not give the impression of a 4 star, but as soon as you walk through the main entrance any doubts are immediately dispelled. the reception rooms of the hotel are immaculately presented and maintained and the standard continues throughout. our room was very large with a huge double bed and furnishings and fittings in keeping with the standard of the hotel. the term buffet breakfast does not do justice to the extensive choice and quality available. the staff, without exception, were all polite, helpful and very professional. we would recommend this hotel, without reservation, to anyone. although we have recommended this hotel as being suitable fro mature travellers, it is in fact suitable for anyone looking for a quality hotel in the centre of rome.
Negativity is a relative term, and this may be a really small point, but, given the standard of the hotel and obvious effort put in to making visitors as comfortable as possible, it was somewhat surprising to discover that although tea and coffee making facilities were available in rooms, the charge of 1 euro 50 cents for a tea bag appeared somewhat ridiculous, but easily resolved with a trip to the local spar.Paul Cross

Had a lovely time staying here. the hotel is very central and it is really easy to walk to the majority of rome's major sights. for instance, it is about 15mins max to the trevi fountain and surrounded by cafes & restuarants.
the hotel was emaculate. the staff were polite and helpful. breafast takes place from 6.45 till 10am, which meant you had the option of sleeping in or managing some food before leaving early on an arranged tour. The hotel doesn't have an evening dining option. not that that's a great problem as you have plenty of choices outside of the hotel. Christina Howard
