lovely decor and our superior room turned out to be a junior suite and was larger than expected

Location is good, staff - good.Rooms you see in internet is not real. when we arrive to hotel 26.12.2007. rooms we booked did not exsist, it was very very sad.
hotel is old and realy needs to be cleaned. if you used to live in 5* do not consider to book 4* in rome. Stephen McCarrick

The central location, the good condition of the downstairs communal areas, the staircase, the high ceilings of the bedrooms and breakfast.The reception staff are very po-faced and not at all welcoming. they were also rigid, inflexible and inconsistent. we arrived at 22:30 on the 20th august (2007) having paid for 2 rooms for the whole day. when i asked if we could stay on till about 4.30 pm on the last day (as our flights did not depart till 9 pm in one room without additinal charge) but only if there is nobody checking in to either room on the 24th, one said to ask the question again in the morning, the second said it should be ok if we stayed beyond the normal check-out time of noon by 2 hours and the third said no unless we paid 60 euros. it's not unreasonable to have to pay but 60 euros was half the cost of the room rate for a day and we only wanted to overstay by 4 hours.Mrs Elizabeth Booker

My friend and i had a wonderful stay. we loved the old-fashioned service - nothing was too much trouble. the garden area was a delight - a real haven after sightseeing. the room was lovely and well-maintained: the view was nothing to talk about but we were told that in order for us to have separate beds we would lose the view over the garden which was fair enough because we did not make that clear when we booked. Rooms kept spotless. most attractions within walking distance. quiet at night time.Booked in but the room wasn't ready so we went across the road for a drink. when we came back we had to check in again, dispite saying several times that we had done so already. got short with us because we didn't have the reservation page, because we'd already handed it over 40 minutes previous. the woman who had checked us in just shrugged when we pointed out we'd already gone through the process once. then he told us the room still wasn't ready and when he asked for my credit card to copy, which had been done before i said "why are we going through all this again?", he lost his temper and asked why i was making it so difficult for him!

L'ambiance générale de l'hôtel et le fait qu'il ne soit pas rénové et moderne. j'aime le style ancien, c'est plus chaleureux.Les prix des plats servis au restaurant sont très élevés. cela n'incite pas à rester à l'hôtel pour y dîner même si on est fatigué par une longue journée de visites, on sort dîner dehors quand même car c'est trop cher. c'est dommage.C.
