Tiberina Island is just what its name implies, an island in the middle of the Tiber River, located around the area where the river passes by Campidoglio hill. It is famous for having housed the temple to Asclepius, the Greek god of Medicine, which was constructed around the 300s BC while a plague was devastating Rome. Not much remains of the temple today and much of what does remain is housed in the Archeological Museum of Naples.
