The Maribor Art Gallery surprises and pleases many visitors to hotels in Maribor. It dates from 1954 and a hiving off material from the Maribor Regional Museum. Its first home was in an 18th century Monastery. It now has housing in the Maribor Town Hall. Today, it has two separate spaces within the Town Hall. These act as exhibition space for modern art.
