 "Stay at Blue Waters"
We would like to thank the Blue Waters Hotel for a very pleasant stay. The staff were both friendly and helpful, the room was of a comfortable size and housekeeping efficient yet non-intrusive. Our favorite part of the stay was the excellent breakfasts.The one area where we had a negative experience was at the spa. They were difficult to contact telephonically and was not well signposted. It was also inconvenient that payment at the spa could only be made in cash. Treatment we received (massages) were not up to standard and left us feeling quite sore.Hope this feedback is helpful to you.

 "Worst Hotel I've stayed in / not clean and smells of mold"
The Blue Water Hotel in Durban is certainly one of the worst - if not THE worst - hotel I've ever stayed in.We arrived at the hotel on a Saturday late afternoon. Secured parking could not be provided as we were told it was fully booked.Our allocated room on the 8th floor was terrible. The toilet seat (although sealed with a sleeve to indicate that it was cleaned) had been urinated on, the sheets were stained and empty condom packs were found on the side table. On request we were transferred to a new room on the 7th floor. Although this room was “cleaned” I would not have dared to look at the dirt in any corner of the room. For SA’ns – have you ever entered one of those “never renovated” student flats in Sunnyside Pretoria? This is what Blue Water Hotel reminded me off. The rooms smell of mold, no showers but only bath tabs in very bad condition. Thus, full of mold on the bath seals – broken shower heads and a tab that hardly allows to be regulated (either water is burning hot or cold)… As for the view, we were placed in a sidewing and thus saw more of our neighbours in the opposite building than the ocean itself… As for the breakfast, we did not get a chance to “experience” it. Arriving at the breakfast room at around 9:30, we were asked to queue for about 15-20min as tables were fully occupied…! We left this hotel in a rush – we will certainly NEVER COME BACK again!! The rest of our holiday we enjoyed for the same rates, just up the coast at a stunning B&B…Kurze Zusammenfassung auf Deutsch:Ich würde Ihnen dieses Hotel au keinem Fall empfehlen! Das Hotel ist in einem total veraltetem Gebäude –es stinkt überall nach Gammel und Schimmel (der ist auch sichtbar im Badezimmer). Die Zimmer sind nicht richtig gesäubert. Die Bettwäsche in unserem ersten Zimmer war verfleckt –es überkommt Sie dabei einfach der Ekel! Warmes und kaltes Wasser lässt sich kaum regulieren. Der Wasserhahn scheint kaputt.. Einen Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage bekommt man nur wenn Platz vorhanden ist und kostet außerdem extra R50. Beim Frühstück sollte man sich wohl auf längere Wartezeiten einstellen, denn es gibt nicht genügend Tische. Für den Preis gibt es in und um Durban wesentlich bessere Angebote!!

Need to have rooms refurbished need to change decor. Parking is also a problem. Rooms need to have a fresh odor.

 "I loved the rooms and the food is devine"
Pros: I loved the rooms and the food is devine. the bathrooms can do with some retouching. otherwise all is well, oh the sea views are magnificent!
Cons: When we got there our booking could not be found and had to book from scratch therefore lost on the online rate:(
