Located in Spain’s Costa Blanco, Benidorm is located about 45 km northeast of Alicante. Even though the city has a skyscraper skyline, it has soft, golden sand beaches and a wide variety of hotels, attractions, and nightlife. The weather is very mild, even in the winter. The city’s two beaches, the Playa de Poniente and the Playa de Levante, stretch over 5 km.
The city offers over 30 discos and 1,000 restaurants, so there is nightlife for everyone. Among Benidorm’s attractions are the Aqualandia Water Amusement Park, with a wide variety of chutes, falls, pools, and rapids; the Mundoman Marine Exotic Animal Park, with exhibits and shows; Medieval Tournament, which includes a kingly feast and knightly entertainment; Terra Mitica, a theme park boasting some of Europe’s wildest rides. A short day trip outside Benidorm is rewarded with beautiful natural attractions such as the Canelobre Caves with its huge underground chamber and the Algar Falls with their natural pools and tropical vegetation.
