Siero is a community in the province of Asturias in northern Spain. Its administrative capital is Pola de Siero, locally known as La Pola. Pola de Siero is about 16 kilometers east of the regional capital of Oviedo. The community dates back to the 13th century. Pola de Siero was once an important stopover on a Christian pilgrimage route that followed the Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James).
