Almendralejo Hotels and Accommodation

Almendralejo is a Spanish town of about 33,400 permanent residents. It is located in Extremadura, one of the westernmost of the autonomous communities of Spain. It lies right along the major route for travelers going between the population centers of Merida to the north and Seville to the south. The town, once a humble farming community, reached a fair amount of prosperity during the late 19th century with the construction of the railroad between Medira and Seville. This allowed trade to flourish, with agricultural products from the Guadiana valley up north being sent down south to Seville.
