            City Center Details

Can Picafort, or "Ca'n Picafort" is a tourist town in the northeastern part of Majorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands that stand off the coast of Catalonia in the Mediterranean Sea. The town is bordered by a swamp associated with the Albufera lake, which is a protected nature preserve accessible only by bicycle. The rest of the town has all that a tourists would expect at a popular resort: a beach, shops and restaurants. One big attraction of Can Picafort is its karting track, one of the biggest on the island. Kart races at the national and international level take place on the Can Picafort track every year. Another attraction is a horse ranch called "Rancho Grande," where tourists can indulge in equestrian thrills, or simply eat a lot of meat. The Passeig de Colon is one more attraction of Can Picafort. It is the town's main beach-side promenade, and it erupts at night with Spanish, German, Dutch, and English revelers.
