A Welcome Inn Barcelona Location (Map)
Located just off the Ramblas on Carrer Hospital, the Welcome Inn is a 10 minute walk from Plaça Catalunya and a 3 minute walk from the Ramblas, La Boqueria Market.
Address: CALLE HOSPITAL 93, 3 - 1.
The buzzer reads 3-1 welcome inn, located up the stairs on the top floor on the left hand-side (IT IS NOT the Pension Manu, located on the ground floor of the same building)
1-Payment only in cash, due on arrival
2-Check in is after 12:00 midday, please call to arrange Check-In +34 664 127 664.
3-For late arrivals there is a surcharge:
a. From 22:00 to 00:00 + 20 Euros per room
b. After 00:00 (midnight) + 30 Euros per room
c. After 02:00 +40 Euros per room
GROUPS: For groups of 5 or more people travelling together, we request a SECURITY DEPOSIT of 40 Euros per person. At the end of the stay, once no damage has been done to the rooms/apt the deposit will be returned in full.
How to reach the A Welcome Inn?You can take the Aerobus to Plaça Catalunya. The closest metro stops are L3 Liceu and L2 Sant Antoni.
How to reach the apartment
From El Prat, Barcelona Airport:
Take the airport bus or train to Plaza Catalunya, then take the Green Metro (L3) to LICEU.
Take the Liceu exit and you come out on the Ramblas. Looking downhill, Calle Hospital is on the right-hand side. Walk down the Calle Hospital street for about 3 minutes and hey presto: no. 93 is on the left. But please call us when you arrive in Barcelona to arrange a check-in time
From Sants Bus/Train Station (Ryanair REUS Airport bus stop):
Take the Green Metro (L3) to Liceu.
Take the Liceu exit and it leaves you on the Ramblas. Looking downhill, Calle Hospital is on the right-handside. Walk down the Calle Hospital street for about 3 minutes and hey presto: no. 93 is on the left. But please call us when you arrive in Barcelona to arrange a check-in time and if necessary a meeting point.
From Estacio del Nord Bus terminal (Ryanair flights to Girona Airport):
Take the red metro (L1) from ARC DE TRIOMF 2 stops to PLACA CATALUNYA, from there, change onto the green line (L3) and go one stop to Liceu.
Take the Liceu exit and it leaves you on the Ramblas. Looking downhill, Calle Hospital is on the right-handside. Excellent location! in the touristic area, close to the cost. 
A lot of stairs (6th floor)!! and the stair case is very narrow, dirty and shabby. leaves gloomy impression. the air conditioning is present but not working. pity.05 Apr 09

- the entrance had graffiti but the actual room and central area was top quality

We froze in our rooms and shared area. the heaters were turned off and there was large window in the hallway leading to the room that was broken. i tried to contact the person responsible but no anwer. we had to sleep fully clothed with coats!21 Dec 08

Although we had reservations for a welcome inn, we ended up changing our stay to an apartment b/c we were able to upgrade to a room with a double bed and 2 twins, an elevator and most important an en suite bathroom for a little euro more. the trade off was that we had to change our location from la rambla to a location that was closer to placa de catalunya. this location still worked out well as we were close to a metro and @ 2-3 blocks from la rambla. my comments above are for this accomodation that was located on grand via and not for a welcome inn. the accomodations were safe, clean and fit our basic needs, but it was definitely not luxury. i loved the large bathroom and the balcony off the main street with the view of the city. We didn't like the noise from the main street, but we were so tired (or if you bring earplugs), it wasn't too bad.10 Oct 08

Central location, comfortable, clean and modern room. self catering facilities, which made it an ideal budget option. we'd definitely stay there again, despite a few niggles.As there are no hotel staff on location, it was hard to get access to the building to start with - we had to ring a couple of times and wait in the street for 25 minutes while they travelled to us. once up the massive number of stairs, we found we were in a lovely room in a lovely flat. no air conditioning though, so you either had to have the electric fan on all night (noisy) or keep the window open (so noisy it was impossible to sleep) - ask for a room at the back of the building. the bolts holding the bed together squeaked at the slightest movement. and the shower temperature was extremely variable. otherwise, fabulous!11 Sep 08

Departamento muy limpio, mucha luz, muy cerca de la ramblaLa sala de estar con cocina americana, le falta luz y aire, ya
que no hay ventana que de sobre afuera,pequenos problemas de plomeria, lavabo tapado, y el bano compartido mas grande no tiene extrator de aire , lo que implica condensacion de humedad, mal olor, con el tiempo hongos en ciertas partes de la pared, y animalitos atraidos por dicho medioambiente, y extrator es facil de instalar.
