The Abbot hotel is located in Barcelona Sants quarter, near the Plaça d'Espanya square and only 300 meters away from Barcelona Train station and the Montjuich Park Fair and Congress area - 12 km to the airport so you are in a central location for whatever your needs in Barcelona.

At Montjuïch, in the weekends the fountains offer a beautiful colour and music show. Moreover, it is worth visiting the Poble Espanyol, the Sant Jordi sports palace and the Miró museum.

Located in the commercial district, you will find the Abbott is very convenient and helpful, especially if you are a business traveler. With the accommodations at the hotel and the great location, you will find all you need at your stay here at the Abbot.

How to reach the hotel

By taxi:
Taxis in Barcelona are yellow and black.
A taxi from the Airport (El Prat) to Barcelona is about 25€ (luggage is extra).
It takes about 20 minutes to get from the Airport (El Prat) to the Hotel, depending on traffic.

By bus: Take bus 46 (Plaça Espanya-Aeropuerto). This bus runs from the Airport to Plaça Espanya and back. Barcelona’s buses are red. A bus ticket costs €1.20

Another bus runs from the Airport to Plaça Catalunya and back. The bus ticket is €3.75 one way and €6.45 return. The aerobus runs every 12 minutes.

The first bus from Plaça Catalunya is at 5:30h from Mondays to Fridays and at 6:00h on Saturdays and holidays. The last bus from Plaça Catalunya is at 00:15h from Mondays to Fridays and at 00:30h on Saturdays and holidays.

The whole trip takes about 30 minutes, depending on traffic.

By train:
There are regular Renfe trains from the Airport to several stops in Barcelona, such as Passeig de Gràcia or the Sants train station. The train ticket costs €2.40.
Trains run about every 20 minutes.
The first train from the Sants Train Station is at 05:40h and the last is at 22:40h.
The first train from the Airport is at 06:25h and the last is at 23:50h.

By car: A 20-minute ride will take you from the airport to the hotel. The best way is to enter Barcelona through Gran Via, a long avenue arriving until Plaça d'Espanya square. Once there, take Tarragona street and continue until you reach Avinguda de Roma, where the hotel is located.
By train: a convenient train service connects the airport with the main railway stations in around 20 minutes. Take the train until Sants station. The property is 5 minutes on foot.

Good location for our needs.
The restriction on being able to take a whole piece of fruit from the buffet room after paying for the buffet seems unnecessary.

Staff were friendly and knew the city so could help us.
This is a 4 star hotel but definitely should not be. the paint is peeling and generally does not feel clean. the bathroom is more like a 2 star one. very expensive for what you get - not likely to ever stay their again.

The staffs were so friendly.
The internet connection. buying a coupon for 9 euros and that lasted only for an hour from the first connection. in all the 4 star hotels i've stayed, the internet conncetion is either free or i could buy it for 10 euros for a day.

I sent 3 e-mails to the hotel over a period of 5 days without getting an answer. since i planned to arrive very late at night, i just asked them to confirm that the reception was open at my arrival. i consider the lack of response rude and a reason not to visit again.
