Arc La Rambla Hotel Barcelona

1. room not as photograph on hotel website, i complained to receptionist who told me that it was a standard room and they were all the same (not according to photo on website i thought), i could pay an extra 20 euros per night for an upgrade or see the manager the next day. however, they had no free rooms that night. i wasn't prepared to spend my holiday time complaining day after day, and where were they going to put us if they had no free rooms? 2. no curtains, shutters did not come down to floor and lights from outside shone in all night, i could see outside from my position in the bed, so i presume people could see in! 3. no dressing table or equivalent as on photograph 4. very small wardrobe with only 4 hangers 5. no shower screen so water filled bathroom when using shower 6. only available spare electric socket was above the wardrobe! 7. bed extremely uncomfortable, like lying on a board!

The move in exchange rates between booking and paying made the stay rather expensive for the service provided.

It was disappointing that the room my children stayed in (room 405) had no window to speak of (there was one that opened onto a concrete wall with a drainage pipe running down it. this was not explained in the literature and it disappointed the children. there was a slight smell of damp in room 404

Wi-fi signal was very poor in the room, had to use the public area in the lobby; breakfast buffet missing condiments for sandwiches. payment was made automatically through easy-to-book with a hotel in amsterdam, so they didn't need to process the credit card again. here, in spain, they wanted the credit card and said the reservation only used the card as a guarantee. the different policies were confusing, and at first i was reluctant to pay, with the thought i would be paying double with arc la rambla.

The aircondition was not working vell. very bad light in the room. no place to pput our bag, no table mm.

Our room only hadawindow onto a ventilation shaft,but excellent air conditioning.if you must have daylight select an outside room

The bed was incredibly hard!

No satalite tv, no drinks makeing facilatys, no iron in rooms, beds not comfertable.

A little expensive

Not really a negative but it would be a good idea to have tea/coffee making facilities in the room.

They put us in the most despicable room i've ever stayed in. the view was of the air conditioning units in some skinny, dark corridor. the bathroom was also very moldy and i actually got sick for the rest of my trip to barcelona. the next day i complained and they moved us to a much nicer room on the back side of the hotel that had its own terrace.
