Located at C. Olot Park Guell, in Barcelona, Spain the Gaudi Museum houses attractions of the city's prominent modernist architect. For a mere 7 euro you can view Antonio Guadi's stairway carved with dragons, stone structures, and a spiral tower. From 1906 to 1926, the architect lived in the large pink house on the grounds with his niece. Huge boulders made from rock and turned into sitting benches line the front of this amazing residence. Incredibly ornate windows seemingly carved directly from stone adorn the front of the museum, and the modernistic style of Gaudi's architecture stands out with corners that curve rather than sharp edges.

A wrought iron gate separates the pink house from the actual museum, and although there is some speculation as to Gaudi's involvement with the design of the home, it has been preserved as a monument to where he spent some of the happier times of his life and is right next door to the museum which holds the large collection of exhibits, including busts, drawings, and some of his more unusual furniture (which you are politely asked to refrain from sitting on.) Climb to the museums rooftop for another panoramic view of the city, one that rivals the Castell de Montjuic.
