I"am 1.90M !The bed was 1.80M and the quality was bad! Next time I will choose another hotel! The location was superb but when you don't sleep to well its a pitty! Change the quality of the beds and this wiil be ok!

Balmes Hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of many of the main attractions with the metro nearby for any that are a little further away. We had a room with a terrace which was nice to come back to and sit out on after a long tiring day. We had booked a double room but because we'd upgraded on arrival to the room with a terrace this only had twin beds, I pointed this out to the receptionist who had showed us to our room and by the next day the beds had been put together and made up as a double for us. My only critiscism is that one night I seemed to be able to hear everything going on through the walls, including people walking about and toilets flushing, it was very noisy. However I wasn't disturbed by this level of noise on any other night. I would recommend this hotel.

Pros: Good location, clean and nice swimming pool/jacuzzi if it had been warm enough
Cons: The room was very small and there was lots of noise from people talking and doors banging coming from the corridor night long. the room wasn't very dark either due to light entering from outside through the door.

Pros: Our stay in balmes was very comfortable. the room was spotless,
the breakfast was wonderful, the location was perfect. the stay was comfortable.

Pros: The hotel was in an excellent location, very close to restaurants and a main shopping strip. it was a short walk from la rambla and other sites such as la sagrada familia. close to metro station so easy to get from airport using the renfe. friendly staff.
Cons: The first room we were given was very hot and quite small. it was facing inwards in the hotel so there was no view or air coming in. however, we asked for another room with a view of the street and this room was much more comfortable. aircon didn't do very much.

Pros: The room we were booked into had 2 single beds it was lovely but staff kindly moved us to a double for the next 3 nights of our stay. again room was perfect. staff were very helpful and friendly, we would definately go back, great location for getting around bracelona very central.
