"Location is fantastic"
Pros: Location is fantastic
Cons: Where do i start? first it's up about 6 floors with no lift. if you forget something for the day you're not going back up. all the lights were blown when we arrived. we were told they would be fixed in 2 days. not fixed when we left a week later. makes it very dark and dangerous.
next the bed was too old. it hurt our back because the mattress just sinks. lots of baby cockroaches everywhere. generally cold showers even though hardly anyone was there.
me and my partner travel the world and stay in economy accommodation so we know that it will never be luxury. but this would be the worst place we have ever stayed in. really you should just find somewhere else
Pros: Friendly and informative staff. nice location. quiet and cozy.
fast internet. i might be back in the future with my girlfriend
kind regards, niels lamhauge

"The location of the accommodation was ideal, located at the top of la..."
Pros: The location of the accommodation was ideal, located at the top of la rambla. our room had a balcony which overlooked la rambla and placa catalunya, and generally the only noise from below was during the day - if this bothered us we could have closed the doors and turned on the fan in the room.
the room was clean and the staff were very helpful and accommodating. and even the 102 stairs weren't so daunting, they made us appreciate our bed even more at the end of a long day of sightseeing or a night of partying!
the room was secure - 1 lock for the room, another lock to enter the accommodation and a lock down at the bottom of the stairs. towels and bed sheets changed every 2 days. there is use of pc with internet in the communal area as well as a shared fridge/freezer and washing machine.
overall the room was great value for money and i would recommend it to groups of 2 or 3 friends who are wanting to do barcelona on a tight budget without having to compromise on location, cleanliness or security.
Cons: Shower and toilet facilities were shared but that is to be expected for such a great price - the only complaint was that there was no hot water in the shower on the second night of our stay.
and one of the legs on my bed fell off, but there were 3 beds in our room and only 2 of us staying there so we just switched around.

Pros: The hostel staff were great especially carlos, who know everything and advised us where and where not to go "on foot".
Cons: The sinage for the place is difficult to find (no existant almost). you need to clime "100 steps" on old worn marble stairs (no elevator) no real problem but should be in the advertisement. the room pictured on the website is "the best room", most of the rooms are not near as good!
