Not that easy to locate front entrance - need to be advised they are on 2nd floor and which bell to press - quite confusing!!Kapon

Staff - jacko (not sure how to spell his name) was super friendly. he was very helpful and informative. the place is kept clean at all times. love the smell of the laundry detergent. i look forward to breakfast everyday - a spread of hard boiled eggs, toasts, croissants, juices, cereal. it's not fancy but it's better than nothing. you get a sense that he definitely put in effort to make a great presentation out of the breakfast and genuinely caring about the place and the guests. location is great, 10-15 min walk to la ramblas and 2 blocks from the closest metro. The pictures online is a little misleading. but as long as you're not expecting something fancy (duh, at this price you're paying?), the apt-style b&b is really quite comfortable and cozy. another huge negative is it's somewhat hard to find. the online web should be more upfront about it being an apartment style b&b. also, there was no sign anywhere about the "bed & breakfast muntaner". the buzzer at the door only says "barcelona apt" which of course you wouldn't buzz thinking that is something else! so they definitely need to change that or at least add an extra label saying "b&b muntaner" so that arriving guests wouldn't be completely lost.Anonymous

Bong was really sweet and served a good breakfast. the apartment is really modern and nicely furnishedThe bedroom we had was very hot (no aircon) and faced the inner courtyard and the bed squeaked everytime you moved! if i was to stay there again i would want a room facing the road as the common areas were a lot cooler.Anonymous

Excellent location, very clean and owner very helpful. breakfast acceptable - eggs/toast/ham/cheese - tea/coffee.Room very restricted due to 'added' bathroom (12 x 7 feet living space) no outside space, tv, radio or wardrobe/cupboard (only hanging rail)window opened to inner courtyard. room poor!Anonymous

Only there is one positive thing about hotel, location, near centre. The breakfast was not for grown people but for kids, room smells awful,the hotel staff didn't change towels in room at all as we stayed for five days.this hotel i wouldn't recommend to nobody. Susan Clough

We were very happy with the muntaner on our arrival. it was bong's first day and he made us feel welcome. he explained about breakfast and after completing some paperwork we were shown our room. it was lovely, very clean and it looked newly decorated. the en-suite was lovely too. we thought there was going to be a tv in the room but instead there was an air conditioning machine which was much better! the breakfast/tv area was very clean and welcoming with two lovely comfortable sofas. overall, we felt the muntaner offered value for money which was in an excellent area which allowed us to see all of the attractions which barcelona is famous for. we'd definitely go back!The only negative point to comment on was that our room and en-suite wasn't cleaned whilst we were there, we had to ask bong for toilet roll and replacement towels but he was more than happy to supply us with these and it didn't spoil our stay one bit.J.
