Description
This B&B is located in one of the main avenues in Barcelona, a route that has its origin in the urban layout of the Roman city. Via Laietana directly leads to the sea and beaches. The Hostel is located a few meters away from the neogothic Barcelona cathedral and from the exceptional Palau of Music. Also a few minutes away are Picasso Museum and the gothic basilica of Santa Maria of the Sea, in the fashionable district of the Born, that counts with a great variety of stores, restaurants and bars that enjoy a great night atmosphere. On the other hand, Paseo de Gracia, Las Ramblas and the tourist and commercial city centre are also a few minutes walking.

How to reach the hotel?Guests arriving to Prat airport are recommended to get a taxi in the case they are 4 or more people as getting 4 bus tickets to the city centre would almost cost 25€ which is what a taxi cost. Guests who are less than 4 people are recommended to get the ¨aerobus¨, which is the cheapest way to get to the city centre; Plaza Catalunya for about 4€ per ticket.

Very good value for money. nice building. good to be able to use kitchen/living room for own purposes.
The hotel was a bit hard to find and described itself as a basement even though it was on the 1st floor of the building which was a bit confusing. showers not brilliant.Anonymous

Location is fantatastic, ideal for exploring barcelona. hostal was clean and good value for money, i've stayed in a lot better and paid less although the location made up for it.We were delayed landing and got charged 27 euros for booking in late. this was taken out of the deposit they took on arrival but no mention of the charge was made until we checked out. breakfast is poor, best thinking of it as room only and eating out, loads of nice places close by. This hostel was imaculately kept at all times, it was spotless and the staff were very helpful. the breakfast provided was more than adequate and i felt it offered excellent value for money. it was also very quiet.It was a little tricky to find, i would recommend providing the floor and flat number of the apartment block that it was in, we spent a long time going up and down in the lift trying to find it!!Anonymous

Great location, friendly staff, great views from balcony room and very clean.A little hard to find as there is no signage for the hotel. need to look for the number on the building and then the plaque that has a phone number on it. if they do not answer when you ring the door, then call and they will be there within a few minutes. Nice and clean, great location. on a main road but noise wasn't bad with window closed. it would be too noisy to sleep with window open but there was aircon for warmer weather. had a fridge in the kitchen for guests to store food/drinks.Breakfast stock standard, loaves of white bread and cornflakes.Anonymous

Via laietana is a beautiful and comfortable place to live in during your stay in barcelona. the rooms are comfortable, clean and the furniture tasteful and appropriate for your stay. having an airconditioner in each room makes it even more comfortable particular during the hot days in barcelona. the staff are excellent. i have never met more dedicated and friendly staff in any previous b&bs. from a welcoming reception to informing us about safety in barcelona and even calling a trusted cabbie for us and seeing us off at the gate. it was truly a wonderful experience and i would highly recommend this place to anyone visitng barcelona.STEPHANIA MCCLUSKIE

Convenient location 5-10 minutes from las ramblas, near a mercado (w/excellent restaurant) & a dia. room was small but fine.It is like staying in a private room in a hostel with shared bathrooms & kitchen and the guests don't necessarily clean up after themselves. breakfast is very limited. it is an ok hotel but not one that we remember fondly.Vera Bereznaja

Was in an excellent location with a regular bus service running past the hotel. could be difficult to find so look for the orange sign and buzz (2) for access. One night there wasnt any hot water for showering. loads of building work going on in the communal stairway.Altruy

Had a lovely stay, very large clean nicely decorated room with a balcony. ideal location in the city right next to la ramblaVery hard to find as the door into the building makes it look like an inhabited building, and also arrived late due to a delay in flight and was charged extra 27 euro for this.Ian Pattinson

L'hôtel est très bien placé (juste à 5 min de la rambla et à 2 min de la cathèdrale de barcelone), juste en bas de l'hotel on peut trouver divers petits restaurant, pub et café (dont un vendeur de churos excellent !!!). les chambres sont superbes (bien décoré, divers rangements, très propre) ! et enfin les salles de bains à l'extèrieur de la chambre ne sont pas du tout génant, elles sont très bien aménagées avec deux douches et deux lavabos :d (pratique pour les couples !!)
vraiment nous avons passé un superbe séjour dans cet hotel, qui présente un bon rapport qualité prix ;)L'entrée de l'hotel ne ressemble pas vraiment à une "entrée d'hotel" mais on s'y fait vite !!!
en effet l'hotel est en fait un grand appartement de 7 chambres alors du coup en arrivant on se retrouve à une entrée d'immeuble, heureusement la petite pancarte orange "bed&breakfast" nous indique qu'on est au bon endroit !!! Anonymous

Location was excellent. room was nice,because we had balkon. there was hot water all the time in bathrooms.Building were is the b&b was old and dirty. only one person was speaking in english (not from staff).kitchen very small and dark.breakfast was very poor,we had to buy our own.food on the breakfast was not fresh!!!bathrooms in b&b were not the same as on the picture.they are dirty,showers were broken.
