Best Western Alfa Aeropuerto Barcelona

The man at the desk was efficient but not friendly. the shuttle driver was surly. the bed was not comfortable.

The restaurant was rather "pricy." due to the somewhat remote location, there were no other eating establishments in the immediate area.

I did not feel staff was friendly or cordial. they were helpful if you asked them a direct question, but just did not make you feel welcome. my husband felt they were ok.

The shuttle bus service should be available to go to downtown barcelona

First visit the tv had only one english channel. the second visit in another room there were were several to choose from. first visit i waited very long time at the airport before the shuttle arrived. second visit it was there almost immediately.

the setting is not good (in the industrial zone), it was noisy and smelly outside the hotel, our air conditioning was not working well, so we could not even open the windows to get fresh air. the staff did however change our room to a better one when we complained. the room could do with a kettle and tea and coffee facilities. i travelled with my children and could not offer them any kind of beverage except for the stuff in the mini bar.... it is rated 4 star, but it was disappointing that it did not have this facility. their was no healthy alternatives on the menu and i found it very limiting. the shuttle to town was not frequent enough and a pick up from town would have been a good idea. the number 21 bus did the industrial trip back to the hotel and a taxi ride was 25 euros. our flight was early, yet we had to take a taxi to the airport as the shuttle was only running from later - this as very inconvenient and an extra cost. my overall feeling was that it is a substandard hotel, that has been sugar coated (not always successfully though) to give the impression of being grand, and is being advertised as 4 star. it was not a very good experience. for the price, i would say it was not good value at all.

Poor hot breakfast and fruits, etc. were not replenished often.

Airport shuttle service does not run through the night

The restaraunt doesn't open until 20.30 which is a litle late, especially when you have an early morning flight.

The room service food was expensive and so were the drinks at the bar, also no tea/coffee in room!!

Location, although convenient for airport, is not ideal.
