Cons: The room is small
the food at the terrase was excellent.
Cons: Room service was terrible. laundry service was also terrible - couldn't get hold of anyone for hours. had to log in everytime to use wifi. no iron and no hair conditioner.
Cons: Bed is lovely and big but was too firm and not very comfortable.
Cons: Bar service not very pro-active.
Cons: Water was dripping from the ceiling in the hallway, apparently from heavy rain the days before.

The Hotel Catalonia Ramblas Barcelona is located in the city centre. The hotel is in a privileged location in the heart of the cultural and commercial area. Several bus and metro stations allow for quick and easy access to the rest of Barcelona.
The Catalonia Ramblas Hotel Barcelona is set in one of the buildings that were home to the offices of the newspaper 'La Vanguardia'. The building is designed by Josep Majó Ribas and built specifically as the Barcelona newspaper’s offices and headquarters. Opened in 1903, it is the only modernist-style building in the street. It stands out particularly thanks to its elegant decoration, the large size of its common areas and its pleasant hall bar, a warm and welcoming place for enjoying snacks and all kinds of drinks. The front of the building has been completely refurbished and is particularly beautiful, with a pretty and original craftwork with plant motifs.
