Chic and Basic Born in Barcelona - Pictures
Description
A concept. A hotel. A city. A neighbourhood. A chill out space. A bar. And many other things you will not see elsewhere.

A century-old building, a 22 feet-high ceiling, color curtain and lights, a crystal shower at the center of the room, a light system to transform the room colours, a common zone with music to sink in the couches... and the White Bar and its cocktails.

The Chic and Basic Born hotel is located in the Born district, a multifaceted neighborhood: on one hand it offers very powerful cultural buildings such as the Picasso Museum, the Textile Museum, the Church of Santa Maria del Mar, the França Train Station, the old Born Market, among others. On the other hand, this is an area in which the most original boutiques of the city have flourished. These are small shops where you can acquire new and promising designs, select brand collections, the latest accessories and the like. This area has become the reference point for the most innovative restaurants and fashionable bars.... Read More

It was fantastic, very easy to access, position in barcelona was fantastic only 10 mins walk to the beach or la rambla. the hotel itself had great facilities with free internet and was a personalised service which we enjoyed very much.

The decor was indeed chic and unique. we loved that they had help-yourself coffee and water. the location was terrific, and the staff was friendly and very proficient in english.
We had 3 guests and booked a double with a cot that was advertised as "free" on the website. unfortunately, their definition of a cot is a baby crib (and we found the same elsewhere in spain), and in fact we paid 40eu per night extra on a double room that only cost about 110eu/night to start. so it turned out not to be a bargain. however, they did give us a full-size twin bed as the extra. the website and booking also implied free wifi in the rooms, but it was actually a pay service. there was only one available computer in the common area of the hotel, so it was often in use.
