Chic and Basic Urquinaona Apartments Barcelona Location (Map)
You can also walk to the emblematic Gaudí buildings: La Pedrera (Casa Milà) and Casa Batlló, both of which are located on the Passeig de Gràcia, at the starting point of Plaza Cataluña. Also close by are Las Ramblas, famous for their diversity and bustle of activity. At the end of Las Ramblas you will find the vantage point of Colón and the port area.
From the Plaza Cataluña it is possible to reach any point in the city using the metro, bus or trains given that this is one of the focal points of the city. In this plaza you can find a tourist office, a large shopping mall and a tourist bus stop.
How to reach the Chic and Basic Urquinaona Apartments?From Barcelona El Prat airport
- By bus: Take the Aerobus at the airport and get off at Plaça Catalunya. Once there take Fontanella street that will lead you to Placa Urquinaona. Just cross the square and you will find Chic and Basic Urquinaona Apartments on the opposite side on the corner with Ronda Sant Pere.
- By train: Take the train to Passeig de Gracia and get off at the station. Once on the street walk down Passeig de Gracia and take your left on the second street onto Ronda Sant Pere. The apartments are based on number 22 right in the square.
From Sants Estacio train station:
Take the L3 underground line towards Canyelles and get off in Passeig de Gracia. From there follow the above indications to reach the apartments.

The information on arrival was extremely good.
The apartment was a bit dusty (but actually no big deal compared to a lot of places i have been to prior to this time), but since you ask– there you go.Anonymous

Ideal location for walking or metroing to lots of interesting areas.Not enough hooks for hanging clothes, towels etc. room didn't kettle, mugs, cover for sofa on arrival but these suppled the next day.Anonymous

Location was good, quite central to main tourist attractions, apartment was high up so not too much noise from the street,except during the storm (jan 23rd)when noise was unbelievable. quite light, spacious and airy, fast and efficient aircon, safe in the room, key cards to get into apartment handy to use, working lifts (8th floor!!!)The apartment could have been cleaner, a few broken items like blinds, not enough crockery, not much hot water for showers, tv small and not tuned in properly, internal doors to the apartments were very loud when they banged closed. lifts antiquated and very slow, had to walk down a few times (8 flights of stairs)because the internal lift doors had been left open and the lift doesn't work then. no reception meant we had to wait 45 minutes outside in the street for the renting agency contact to let us in and give us the keys. balcony but door handle broken off, possibly on purpose, so we couldn't use it.hersonsky

The location is great near center but not too noisy , the room have good electrical appliances and dishes, it felt like good living apartment of ours:)
The cleanig lady was not there, we had run out of toilet paper and dishes soap- she came just at the first day(we staid 5 nights), but still it was just great:)Yesufu

All round excellent stay. apartment was very clean and spacious, and the location is right in the city centre. the lady that checked us in was very helpful indeed and gave us some very valuable information. Some random march outside at silly'o'clock in the morning...not really anyone's fault though!Anonymous

I like urquinaona apartment first of all for the location so close to city centre. and of sure the beautiful rooms very cleany and modern.I did'like the organization of the staff.
the staff didn't contact me to give me any indication to enter in the apartment, how cou
1) they gave me a wrong code number to enter (i had to call the reception few time to have it);
2) no number of the floor (the build has seven floor!)
3) no number of the room! (i had to try every apartment with my keys...)
4) i asked for hairdrier (in the web site they say it's available) but after booking the staff saied me that was not possible to have it inside the apartment.
so..i think i will not suggest this apartment.
