City Centre Hostal Barcelona Location (Map)
Barcelona City Centre Hostal has a very central location. It is walking distance to Plaza Catalunya and therefore steps away from Las Ramblas boulevard and Paseo de Gracia, a luxury shopping and sightseeing street including some Gaudi buildings.
How to reach the City Centre Hostal?From the airport
The best way is to take the "aerobus" in front of all the terminals. Get off in PLAÇA UNIVERSITAT station. We are three streets away from there.
By underground-metro
The stations of Plaça Universitat (Line 1 & 2) and Passeig de Gracia (Line 2 & 3) are the nearest. Plaça Catalunya station is also near our hostel (four streets away).
By bus
The lines 7, 16, 17, 63, 67 and 68 stop in front us.
All the night buses stop in Plaça Catalunya.
By Train
The best is to get off in Passeig de Gracia station. If it is not possible, get off in Plaça Catalunya. But if your train stops only in Sants station, the best thing you can do is to take the L3 line of the underground (Green line) and get off in Passeig de Gracia.
From Girona airport
Take the bus in Girona airport that will leave you in Barcelona's North Station. From there you can take a taxi to come to the hostel or take the nearest metro, that is ARC DEL TRIOMF station (1st line-Red line) and get off in PLAÇA UNIVERSITAT, from here you are 3 blocks away from our property.

Okay location. bit overpriced but everywhere is barcelona is a tad overpriced. 
It is more like a flat rather than a hotel. there is no reception as shut just a room in which there may or may not be someone to help. no 'fun' factor as such because of the lack of reception area and you never see other people staying there. Anonymous

The location is excellent as the city centre is only 5 minutes walk away. the room was clean and staff were friendly. although previous comments had stated the hostel was noisy, we did not experience this.The only negative is that the internet access is limited - there is a single computer in the entrance, meaning that this was sometimes busy when we needed to use it. overall however, this was only a small problem.Bryan

Great location and next 2 roads up were packed with good places to eat. when we arrived the lady told us all about places to go see and how to get there, she was very helpful. the hotel was clean and friendly. you can be assured this is a perfectly nice place to stay.You don't necessarily get a great view from your window but we were always out so it didn't matter to us.Lee Raynel

Good and safe location. room was clean.Staff gave us location of supermarket which was difficult to find when there was a very huge supermarket at catalunya which we visited everyday. only informed by another staff the day before we left.Anonymous

Really impressed with cleanliness, every day we returned to an immaculate room. there is a pc in the common area for everyone to use, completely free of charge. hostel is conveniently situated only in a 15-min walking distance from las ramblas, while the underground and train station (passeig de gracia) is a 5-min walk, opposite gaudi's casa batlo. trains to and from the airport run through the station, too. many plates, bowls and cutlery available in the kitchen for everyone to use, as well as a microwave oven.Although the staff reassured us that noise would not be an issue, it almost drove us mad. traffic, sirens, people yelling and fighting outside clubs filled the room during the night, but nothing was as bad as our neighbours next door which we could hear day and night, and thus led us to doubt about the existence of the hostel's supposed sound-proof walls. stuff was not always available to consult. a kettle could be useful for the common area as well- there was a machine for tea and coffee but there was no available hot drink throughout our five of our six days there, and nobody bothered to look. room a bit too small to do anything but sleep in it really- although this wouldn't be a problem if everything else were ok. overall i would not return there, since there are better alternatives in this very website alone, with equally good prices. this is only good for youths that are only looking for a place to crush after barcelona's wild nights out, but for everyone else, my advice is browse a bit more, there are better alternatives.orman

We are a more mature couple visiting our daughter who lives just a couple of blocks from the hostal - it fitted in very well in terms of proximity. the room was very clean and we were very impressed with the service (towels, bed etc). it was also nice and quiet (my husband was worried about the noise before we arrived). and the joint area with the fridge, microwave and crockery, etc was very useful for travellers on a budget. we would not hesitate to book into the hostal again.The only thing that was a bit difficult was getting the keys to work to the outside door and the door to the hostal.Anonymous

Great staff, friendly and helpful. the room was always brilliantly cleaned and we could come and go at our convienance.The only negative i would say was the fact it was not advertised well from the outside. we had to use 'hostel eden' sign across the road to pinpoint where the hostel was. only a tiny door bell sign. took us a while to find because of this.Anonymous
