Pros: Good located, "ancient" atmosphere, clean and calm.
Cons: Only one bathroom, but however i hadn't to wait for the shower a lot.
there was a conditioner on the neighbor wall that made some strange noise.

Pros: It is close to downtown.
Cons: This hostel has its only toilet and its only shower all in the same room, so, in the morning, it is always not possible to use the toilet because of the many people waiting to use the shower. until management confirms that they have fixed this dilemma, please do yourself the favor of not staying here!

Pros: Only one it is a quiet place. nothing else
Cons: We stayed only one night although we have booked for 3. this hostel is only suitable for solo travelers who are only interested to find a place to sleep and nothing else. just 2 single bedsin the room,a side table in the middle, one rail for cupboard, one chair all rotten underneath, wall basin and an inside window. broken and missing tiles in the corridor, there was no lump in the shower and the ceiling was black from mould. on the outside the place looks ok. we paid 64 euro per night a tremendous amount for a hostel especially in its condition.

Pros: There was a very nice person to welcome us at the hotel,
a fridge was for us to use,
very good location! near to two metro (subway) stations and beautiful arc de triomphe
Cons: No mirror in the room (we had shared bathroom, so it was kind of important) and we avoided using the sink as much as possible. the room is not really pretty, but on the other hand, the temperature is cool and everything you need is provided.
there is no reception desk.
a fridge was for us to use,

Pros: I would like to point out the high professionalism of one of the staff members: ms maria del pilar canete, who was very efficient and effective in providing all the touristic and practical information about the city. she was also very supportive and helpful with the guests regarding the problems caused by the volcanic eruption in island. i would like to congratulate the hotel city urquinaona for keeping in their team such highly qualified employee.

Pros: The hotel was very central and so we managed to wakl to just about all the sights in barcelona. the member of staff we met was very informative about places to go and friendly. there was a microwave and fridge/freezer as well as crockery and cutlery and tea/coffee. the balcony in the room (twin) was lovely to sit out on for breakfast. the building itself is part of an apartment block with lovely high ceilings and tiles floors, it felt as though you were living in barcelona! clean towels and a hot shower!

Cons: Manager was extremely rude if it wasn't 1am i would've changed to a different hotel. also there was no heat had to sleep with 4 blankets on to stay warm.

Pros: Good location, easy to find, staff (ana-maria) very friendly and helpful.
Cons: Very basic facilities. the room was very cold at night even with 3 blankets. it needs renovation and refurnishing. the walls are very thin, you can hear everything.
