The confortel barcelona is a new very modern hotel with all the facilities at hand for a very enjoyable stay.it is not in the main hotel area(which is very noisy)but within easy walking distance to two underground stations and it is only about 5 stops to the main tourist areas.there is a ramblas close by which leads down to the beach, and plenty of restaurants,coffee shops and bars are also close by.
the breakfast buffet is excellent and the staff very helpfull.
the access to internet facilities is very handy.
The only feature that would greatly improve the room facilities would be the inclusion of tea and coffee making equipmentMrs Sofroniou

Very clean and modern hotel. a bit out of the way for the city attractions but close to the beach. hotel staff friendly and helpful.No money exchange facility.no information as to directions to underground etc.Anonymous

It was a great hotel chosen for its location within 10 minutes walk of the beach but still close to the city.It was hard to find from the metro station llacuna as the road to it was being dug up and there were no visible street signs.
i would recommend taking the next station poble nou as it is a beautiful walk to the hotel.
the check in is advertised as 12 noon however it was not possible till after 3pm. i would suggest the hotel advertises the later check in then people know what to expect.
