Eurostars BCN Design Barcelona    

I stayed in BCN Design in April. The Hotel is in a great location on Pasieg De Gracia, just few minute walk from Plaza Catalunia. I was given a room with very strong sewage smell, I asked for another room and the hotel team replaced it immidiatly with a wonderful room on the fifth floor facing the street. Must warn that the rooms are not suitable for friends travelling together, toilet and shower doors are from glass, bathtub is in the middle of the room. Design is very modern. Service was good, very friendly helpfull staff.

I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist when I arrived at the hotel for check-in. She not only did her job in getting me duly checked in, but took the trouble to offer additional help, made very polite and enjoyable conversation. She later also very carefully gave excellent directions and marked out important places on the map for me to visit. The room was very clean and neat and the only point I would have to say to would-be visitors to the hotel would be that the bathroom is a rather "open concept" and it would be advisable to check ahead about the type of room you would get and its bathroom - depending on who you are travelling with. I personally loved the design of the room I got. The room service staff were very friendly as well and I was very impressed by the overall quality of service by staff at the hotel. The room service menu could afford to have much more variety however - but nevertheless, excellent service. For those interested in having a pool, the hotel only has a jacuzzi, which is pleasant but not for those who would like a little bit more than that. The overall design of the hotel is indeed special, different from your typical hotel designs. I personally enjoyed it. The location is amazing - I cannot stress this enough. Just outside the hotel is a stop for the the City Tour Bus, making seeing Barcelona a matter of ease. Nearby is the metro station as well. Passeig de Gracia is a personal favourite of mine for its shopping and the hotel is conveniently close to Placa Catalunya which makes for ease of transport to and from the airport. There are great eateries in the area and so much to do - location, location, LOCATION (as they say). Definitely a hotel I would recommend!

I was supprisely hospitalized the day before may take off to this hotel. My friend send an email right away *I had no access to my booking in the hospital, to cancel the reservation. instead of helping me out I still had to pay the first night. You lost a client

the hotel was in a brilliant location, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. the rooms were spotless and at times it was so quiet I wondered if anyone else was in the hotel even though in knew there were. i have been to Barcelona before and this was one of the best areas and hotels so far.well done to all staff

Pros: Very nice location, nice rooms.
Cons: Not really a 5-star hotel, more like a very good 4-star hotel

Pros: Phillipe was very nice. the stuff was very kind and polite. the room were nice and clean.the location was perfect.the food was delicious.
Cons: Nothing!!

Pros: The staff (each one of them) of the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
Cons: The hotel was small and did not like the toilet and bathroom. the breakfast buffet did not have variety.

Pros: The location of the hotel is perfect, near to the subway and to all vital tourist points. its far enought away from any of the nightly hassle, but during the day its like being in nyc..
Cons: The main reason we booked the hotel was because of the jacuzzi on the roof. the first night we were there it was great, warm and perfect, then the next day and the subsequent days after it was cold, i mean like 70-80* cold... we spoke to multiple differnet people at the front desk and they all had different reasons, none of which were flying wtih me.. to be honest for the price we paid for the hotel, the value is not there. i was disappointed overall...

Pros: Excellent location. stylish rooms.
Cons: Some reception staff rude and patronising. rooms at front of hotel smell damp and musty. form over function regarding design - no room for make-up, poor selection of toiletries, very hard beds, very limited tv channels in english.

Pros: The room was clean and the staff friendly and helpful. the hotel was fairly well positioned for transport.
Cons: A well presented hotel with modern design and decor. this unfortunately meant that it was generally impractical to use. for instance a toilet with a semi transparent door (not ideal if it's your first trip away together) that was very diificult to get in or out of and a tiny wash basin in the middle of the room that invariably resulted in soapy water and tooth paste all over the floor.

Pros: Excellent location and friendly staff, room stylish but not very practical, bed very comfortable
Cons: The shower door didn't fit properly, leading to a flood in the room on one occasion. it was never fixed in spite of three requests, and the promised move to another room never materialisd either. however, the good humour and professional approach of phillippe on the desk just about saved the day. it also helped that he had some sparkling wine sent to our room to compensate...

Pros: Excellent location
Cons: Breakfast extremely poor. definitely not worth paying for

Pros: The eurostar bcn design hotel is situated in a perfect position in walking distance of the rambla, la boqueria (market), casa batllo, la pedrera, sagrada familia and the port. all other attractions are easily reached by metro with stations located on the hotels doorstep.
the hotel itself was aesthetically pleasing, very contempory in design as the name suggests and staff were very helpful.
Cons: Although a beautiful hotel, the practicalities of the rooms may cause some concern for those who value their privacy (open plan bathrooms and sleeping area), and the showers though generous in size, having did not have adequate drainage causing flooding, a design fault more than a drainage issue.

Pros: Very friendly and helpful staff. nice clean room. great location near the metro.

Pros: The staff were amazing. we arrived very early in the day and they gave us a room immediately and with optimum street frontage. i would recommend anyone who goes to barcelona to stay there. the location is fantastic, rooms are great, staff are very friendly and so helpful and it is great value especially given the quality and location. will definately stay again on my next trip.
Cons: No absolutely not.
