The reception staff were very helpful and pleasant. Location great if you want to walk around the old quarter. Cionsidering how very crowded Barcelona is, we found the room quiet - although it was a bit small. The bathroom was great though.

Our stay at this hotel was brilliant, the staff were friendly and attentive to all our needs. The rooms are a fair size and the bathroom is spacious. My only and major disappointment was having booked with 'easytobook.com', as when you make the reservation they show you the price that you will be paying for your stay. The hotel does not take this money until you check out of the hotel and when we did there was an extra charge of about £40 which 'easytobook.com' were taking on top as commission. This is written in small print and i clearly didnt read it and the hotel were quite annoyed themselves. So if your staying at this hotel which is in the heart of La Rambla and many major sight seeingplaces book directly with the hotel to save yourself paying commission.

On advert Flat screen Television was 15 inch, Sattelite tv only 2 english on there CNN American news & BBC WORLD,On arrival tried to give a room we did not book Advert said JACQUSSI in the room did not have one, was told by reception they dont have any in hotel only massargers. so got moved had to wait 5 hours for new room,After sleeping in bed my girlfriend was itching alot pulled sheets back to Discover BLACK PUBIC HAIRS IN BED, we are both fair haired The cafe attached to hotel is expensive be careful Macdonalds is 2 doors down Kentucky opposit corner, The hotel is in the middle of the RAMBLES not on the square i thought it was, View of Garden was there but wAS NOT THERE GARDEN, but we did get view,Asked for san migual lager gave us a lager they dont sell san miguel but told us it was, WOULD NOT RECCOMEND TO A DOG NEVER MIND A FRIEND,We also stayed @ hotel rialto which was 3 *** and was better of the 2

Excellent location half way along La Ramblas in the heart of the city, a few yards from the metro station. Our room was quiet at the rear of the hotel overlooking a pleasant courtyard. It was a little small but comfortable, clean and warm. Bathroom was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful, though some spoke little English. Breakfasts were very good in the restaurant next door ( accessed through an interior connecting door )Our only criticisms were that there were no tea & coffee making facilities in the room, no clothing hooks in the bathroom.

Pros: In general the hotel room was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. however, what you book and pay for is'nt always what you get!!.. we booked a more expensive twin room, and recieved a much smaller double with no mention of a refund ( approx 40 euros)..
Cons: Allocated a smaller cheaper room, whilst paying the higher rate for a twin, as originaly booked!!!
