These buildings are some of the most unique modern buildings in the world and are a must visit when in the Spanish capital. A great way to spend an afternoon in the area is walking along the magnificent boulevards, taking in the architecture and atmosphere and stopping every once in a while for something to eat or drink. The area is filled with chic bars, restaurants and cafes and the amount of eating options nearby is sure to impress, with Spanish food and international cuisine equally represented. After dinner why not see how the locals like to spend their evenings in one of the many bars. It is possible to walk to many of the attractions the city has to offer and the public transport makes it easy to get around and see everything you could possibly want to.
