The Granados 83 is located in the middle of the city, just a few metres form Rambla de Catalunya, Paseo de Gracia and Avenida Diagonal, right in the heart of the business, shopping and tourist district. In the heart of the neighborhood "Eixample", the Hotel Granados 83 is ideally situated. The luxury shops are all near and further along the Plaza Cataluña marks the beginning of the famous Ramblas.
How to reach the Granados 83 Hotel?By public transportation: The nearest underground station is Diagonal, on the L3 or L5 blue line. Buses n. 7, 16, 17, 20, 31, 37, 43, 44, 28, 63 and 64 run nearby the hotel.
From the Barcelona-El Prat international airport: Take the Aerobús to Plaça Espanya. There take underground L3 green line towards Zona universitària and step off at Sants Estació, where you have to switch to L5 blue line towards Horta. Get off at Diagonal stop and you will find the property only a few minutes walking from there.

Clean room, nice bathroom1. no iron available?? only an ironing service which you had pay for and submit your clothes before 10am to ensure they are returned by 8pm. we checked at 1pm with crested clothes in our suitcase which needed ironing, therefor, we had to go out to dinner in crested clothes and spend the following day in crested clothes. never have i stayed in a hotel without an being iron available.
2. no tea/coffee in room, an complimentry tea/coffee service
between 4.45am-6.00am???? why.
3. expensive bar 2x gin and tonics 26 euros? Anonymous

The staff were polite and helpful. the location was central.the rooms are beautifully fitted out.I have 2 main critisisms. one of my reasons for chosing a hotel in this price range is for a swimming pool. there is a pool but i'd be interested to hear from anyone who has managed to swim in it. it is tiny - take one stroke from the foot of the steps and you are at the other end.
however beautifully kitted out the room was, it couldn't make up for the fact that there was only an internal window that looked down onto the hotel reception. i have never stayed in a room with no direct natural light or fresh air and found it quite claustrophobic and unpleasant. as i was paying over £100 a night i would have expected a room that would be pleasant to sit and relax in. staff informed me that all single and executive single rooms had internal windows like this so i would advise other single travellers to go elsewhere. i did fill in their comments form and left my e mail for a response but that was over 2 weeks ago and i've heard nothing. I enjoyed the decor as well as my room. although small, i used it only to shower and sleep. the rooftop bar was nice for a pre-game drink or night cap. it was nice to check my email on the computer downstairs.They really stick to that 200pm check-in time!Gabrovsek

I was thoroughly impressed with my room and the hotels location in particular. the staff was extremely attentive and knowledgible. the price was an absolute bargain.None, they were very accomodating when i requested to check out a day earlier abidding by both the hotel rules and easy to book.com Anonymous

My wife and i stayed here for 4 nights for her 50th birthday and i must say it was different to any other hotel i've stayed in! personally, i loved it, but if you like 'traditional' hotels then go elsewhere, but i'd definately stay here again, it was great! Rooftop bar too expensive!Anonymous
