Grupotel Gravina Hotel is located in the heart of the city, in a quiet street 200 metres from Las Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. This narrow and central street where the hotel is situated is also close to Universitat squares. Moreover, the structure is near the famous Zurich bar and the Triangle shopping center.
The property is a few steps from the Gothic quarter, the Cathedral, Passeig de Gràcia avenue and some important museums.
The hotel is walking distance from Barri Gotic, Macba, Pedrera, Ramblas, Casa Batllo, Catedral, Born, Port Vell and Eixample. And the area is very well connected with the other sites of interest of Barcelona by underground and bus, thus enabling guests to easily reach the Sagrada Familia, Güell park or Montjuïch.
How to reach the Grupotel Gravina Hotel?By metro: You can take the metro to stops Universitat and Catalunya (Lines 1,2,3)
By bus: From the airport you can take the aerobus.
By train: You can take the RENFE train to station Catalunya and the FGC train to station Catalunya.
By car, from El Prat Barcelona airport : From the airport to the hotel it takes 20 minutes by car. The best way is to enter Barcelona by the Ronda Litoral and exit at Drassanes. At Colón square turn towards Las Ramblas. Proceed along this avenue until Plaça Catalunya. The hotel is located in a narrow street close to Pelai street, the first left at the beginning of Las Ramblas.
By train, from El Prat Barcelona airport: A convenient train service connects the airport with the main railway stations in around 20 minutes. Plaça Catalunya station is a five minutes walking distance of the hotel.
By bus, from El Prat Barcelona airport: The Airbus line offers frequent connections from El Prat airport to Plaça Catalunya. The ride takes around 30 minutes.
By bus, from the Girona airport : A direct bus connecting the airport with the Barcelona center is available. Get off at Estació del Nord station, then take the underground line 1 until Plaça Catalunya station. There are more than 30 bus lines, taxis, train from the airport going to Barcelona and there is a taxi stop close to the hotel.

Nice, spacious bed- and bathroom. location was excellent, walking distance from pl. catalunya + rambla, still quiet street. did not have breakfast in hotel but plenty opp. nearby.A bit thin walls/ceilings, heard when other guests/staff woke up early.03 Oct 09

Staff were pleasant and helpful. location was good for public transport shopping and sightseeing on foot. nice, clean hotel. price with easy to book was very good.On arrival at the hotel at 2.15 p.m we were informed that our room was not ready and asked to wait 30 mins. we were offered champagne or other drinks whilst waiting in the bar area.we actually waited approx 1 hours. we had not informmed the hotel of our arrival time, but their literature stats that check-in is from 1.00 pm06 Aug 09
The staff were friendly and smiling and nice to talk to. they also knew all the answers to our questions re barcelona and helped us in making the best decisions re transport and getting around.Although it isn't a big problem. the towels were "old" and felt like they were well used and had a lot of mileage.03 Aug 09
We found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. the staff were friendly and helpful.our room was spacious. the much needed air conditioning worked effectively.we would go there again but not in the same room due to noise disturbance.Unfortunately our room was connected to the next door apartment building and we experienced some noise disturbance at various times, the most disturbing being at 3/4 am on two consecutive nights.we could hear loud voices and doors banging. the walls were clearly very thin.01 Aug 09

We spent 3 nights there for a friends 40th birthday, staff very friendly and helpful,upgraded free to junior suite, could notbe more accomodating, with storing luggage providing room for shower prior to flights home. a great hotel would reccomend and stay there again if visiting barcelona. fab a+.27 Jun 09

We found everything about the hotel to be excellent. the staff were very welcoming, and the services great. i returned to my room on my birthday to find a complimentary bottle of champagne and a couple of slices of chocolate cake - a lovely touch. we booked for three nights for the price of two, which made it great value. and on returning to the hotel for a final night, we were upgraded to a much larger room for the same price of our original room. the location near las ramblas was also perfect.16 Jun 09
