The hotel is perfectly located in the heart of the city next to Plaza Catalunya.
Situated in the beautiful neighbourhood of l'Eixample, Passeig de Gràcia, las Ramblas and very close to the gothic quarters. Well communicated by bus, just in front of the hotel. By train (Catalunya) or underground (Universitat/Catalunya) just 100-metres away.
How to reach the H10 Universitat?From Barcelona El Prat airport: Take the RENFE train to Passeig the Gracia. The hotel is approximately 8-minutes walking distance from the metro station.
By Aerobus: Daily, from 06.00 am to midnight and leaves from the airport every 15- minutes. It costs 4.25 € per person. It is comfortable and fast, as it takes only 40- minutes. The bus leaves at Plaça Catalunya or Universitat Square. The hotel is located just 5-minutes walking distance from both places.
By train: Daily, from 6:13 am to 11.40 pm and leaves from the Airport every 15 to 30-minutes. It costs around 2.20 € per person and takes around 25-minutes. The train leaves at Passeig de Gràcia station. The hotel is located just 5-minutes walking distance.

-the breakfast buffet was very good; large variety
-the rooftop terrace was very nice
-the hotel staff was exceptionally helpful and professional
-very central location
-the room was very clean
-they had a full set of toiletries available in the rooms, they even had toothbrushes and toothpaste near the breakfast room so you did not have to go back to your room is you wanted to brush your teeth.
-the double room was small
-just a point of confusion: i was not able to get a clear answer as to whether there would be a hold put on the credit/debit card for incidentals or if they were just taking the number. for a debit card that could really matter, and i think there was a language barrier on that point. but it was clear that they were not going to charge anything immediately.
-they should probably seal the doors in more, there was some noise on the stairs at nightSALAMETI

Absolutely great location, very polite staff, they all speak english and were very friendly, the breakfast was really rich. very good value for money. Nothing negative. we stayed in a room in the 6th floor of the hotel and so we didn't hear the noise from the street and the metro. i guess that if you stay on the first floor it might be a litle noisy.Darwin

I was very happy with the choice. the staff were very helpful, profesional, and welcoming, and all spoke very good english. the quality of the room, amenities, and overall customer service were above my expectations. the buffet breakfast was excellent and highly recommended. i will definitely choose another h10 hotel on my next trip.Not a major issue by any means but there were a lot of construction going on in front of the hotel.MIHAEL BABIC

The location of the hotel could not have been more perfect, at the top of la ramblas, and walking distance to all the sights. we arrived a good two hours before check in, but the hotel already had a room ready, which was spacious, modern, and clean. others have complained about the noise of the metro below, but it adds to the atmosphere. and staying right in the centre- what do you expect! the complimentary glass of champagne was a nice start to what proved to be an enjoyable stayvanparys

The hotel was very central. 1 min walk from universitat tube station, 2 mins walk from las ramblas, 2 mins from airport bus (4.60 euros).
my room was clean (though the walls could have done with a wipe down) and modern. i had free wifi, tv, mini-bar, electronic safe and tea/coffe making facillities.
if i travelled to barcelona to stay 4 days in a hotel room i would have been dissapointed with the size of the room.... however like most people on a city break i was there to see the city and not the four walls.
the room (like many hotel rooms in barcelona) faced a small inward area, but made sleeping (and sleeping-in) much easier as less outside noise and darker (again, didnt travel all that way to look out a window all day).
the hotel bar served some hot food and the restuarant looked quite nice (had room service from there and the food was ok).
next trip to barcelona i will stay here again.

Fantastic hotel, we had the "basic room" which had a double bed and a very large bathroom with bath sized shower!, great minibar "charged on departure for any drinks taken, but reasonable prices". view from window was to the inside of the building,but for the price i was very happy. tea/coffee machine in bedroom, this hotel was fantastic.Nothing !Anonymous

From arrival at the hotel through to the departure the service was of an extremely high standard. greeted with a glass of cava and courteous and helpful staff. the initial room allocated was far too small for two people and the reception staff were more than helpful in arranging a room change with no fuss and transfered our laugage whilst we visited the sites of barcelona. highly recommended and are already looking for holiday dates for 2009 to return to this hotel!!!Intial first allocated room, was too small and limited clothing space - however, as mentioned earlier this was addressed by the reception staff and this did not hamper our time at h10. Location is excellent - at centre of everything.Air conditioning was a joke and requests to fix were almost laughed at. was offered a smaller room with worse air conditioning.
