Hotel HCC Open is located in the famous quarter of l'Eixample, well comunicated to access all the main interesting points of the city. Approximately 5 minutes walking from Plaça Espanya and 20 minutes by car from "El Prat" Barcelona International Airport.
You can easily reach for example Las Ramblas, the Gothic Quarter, Plaça Catalunya or Passeig de Gràcia, walking or by underground.

How to reach the HCC Open?The easiest way to each the hotel from the "El Prat" Airport is by taxi, but you can also choose other means of transport such as the Aerobus which has a stop close to the hotel in Gran Via or the train which has its stop at Sants Station.
How to reach the hotel
By car:
From Barcelona-El Prat international airport take the C-31 road towards Barcelona and enter the city onto Gran Vía avenue. Go straight through Plaça Espanya square following the indications towards the city centre (centro). Arriving to Comte Urgell turn left and then turn left again onto Diputació. Continue on the left lane of the street and you will arrive to HCC Open Hotel, at number 100.
By public transportation:
From Barcelona-El Prat international airport take the bus line 46 Pl. Espanya-Aeroport BCN at the Aeroport-Terminals A i B station and get off after 15 stops at Pl Espanya-FGC. Then take the underground line 1 Hospital de Bellvitge-Fondo at the Espanya station and get off at the next station, Rocafort, located at only 100 meters from the hotel.

There was a lot of confusion over the payment. i was informed by easybooking that i would not have to pay for my stay until i checked out on the 23rd july. this was very important as i would be using a company credit card which had a balance on it that would not be cleared until the 21st or 22nd. however, once at the hotel, they insisted that i paid there and then and would not wait until checkout, as i had been informed. this was extremely inconveniant as i had to apy with my own credit card and i had not been prepared for that expense which i now have to claim. had i known that i had to pay on check in, i would have ensured that the company credit card was clear on this date. but since i had specifically checked that this would not be the case, i was extremely annoyed to find out that i had been misinformed. Very friendly staff, offered valuable information and leaflets to get around barcelona, generally clean and quiet room and hotel location. very importatant - close to metro station!Room price rather high (no breakfast included), cost of minibar drinks unusually expensive for the category of the hotel, safe charged at extra.Anonymous

Excellent reception staff. room very nice - we had a triple room, which had plenty of space, bathroom equally spacious. Location near to all points of interest, but walk from plaça catalunya should not be classed as "within walking distance", as this walk took 20 minutes.Patricia Ward

I stay there regularly as it is very conveniently situated close to my neice's flatWe booked a triple room and we got a twin room with an additional bed. it was very cramped and the charge for the saturday night at nearly 300 euros was exhorbitant. i may well try the hetel de compte next time as their prices seem a little bit more reasonableDavid Johnson

also, on arrival i should have paid for my room, however was not asked for payment. later that night on return to the hotel we were locked out of the room. when we asked at reception we were told it was because the room wasn't paid for !Anonymous

Helpful staffThe hotel open is seemingly almost entirely aimed at the business traveller & felt not at all suitable for a holiday traveller. i was disappointed as i did not feel this was conveyed on the website and as younger tourists myself and my boyfriend felt very out of place...
