Hesperia Sant Joan Suites Hotel near Barcelona    

Pros: Room is quite clean and it's quiet at night
Cons: The information about how to get to the hotel isn't good enough, the shower was not so good, the price we paid for the hotel isn't good for what we got, no shops/supermarket or restaurant/cafe near the hotel

Pros: We stayed for 5 nights here and had a fantastic time, the location was out of barcelona but there is a bus that goes from the airport to outside the hotel for 1.45 euro and takes about half an hour. the hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff really helpfull. we requested a set of kitchen crocks and a kettle which were free and arrived straight away. there is a big supermarket 10 min walk away and a couple of bars and a chinese restaurant 5 min away. to get into barcelona we took a tram and then the metro which was cheap and efficient. the pool was great nice and quiet and very refreshing after a hot day walking around the city. we were on the 6th floor and had a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains and the pool from our balcony. we loved it and will be returning !

Pros: Good place if you rent a car from airport and plan to drive around country instead of going to the centre every day. good location for highways to get out fast. hotel has parking, but there is street parking free of charge 8.00pm-9.00am in the area (was always space). free wifi and fridge are nice. ac worked ok. staff is kind and speak english. rooms are quite clean and very large. best value for the money if there is no need to stay in the centre. one quite large super market 1km away. some small restaurants and bars near in the next buildings.
Cons: If you plan to go the city centre it takes time by bus. nearest metro is 15-20min by foot.

Pros: This was second stay in row. everything worked as two weeks ago and i would choose this hotel also next time if i am planning to visit barcelona again.

Pros: This is a very well appointed apartment-hotel. the location is a 'marmite' factor, you'll either love it or hate it. we loved it. barcelona city is busy and dependent on festivals or protests, it can be noisy. hesperia sant joan is located a very easy hour's travel from the very centre of barcelona. travel links to and from this hotel are marvelous. the tram is only 5 minutes walk away, but it involves some hill travel, in both directions, so if you cannot walk easily up hill for 2 minutes, this hotel is not for you. however, there are no other reasons that i would not strongly recommend this hotel. it is beautifully clean, the rooms are very spacious, the service is efficient and effective, with daily cleaning of rooms. the one additional factor worth mention is that guests can ask for a crockery and cooking kit with ease at reception, but it may not be deliverable until the next morning - however, they mean from 6.30am!! so you can easily plan to use it from very first thing in the morning.
the hotel also has a small restaurant, and bar. when we visited they were featuring healthy eating. the prices are very reasonable for barcelona, and particularly so for a hotel.
if you want somewhere, clean, quiet and yet within easy reach of all points in barcelona, this is a highly recommended hotel, in my wife and my opinion.

Cons: It s far from the center and there is a mistake for the buses that you can use from airport. it s not bus 156, but 157 and there is also one n15 at night and also tram.

Pros: Big rooms with poor equiped kitchen, very helpful staff, very clean, good value for money.
Cons: The location vas very poor described on the internet. it was far from the city centre, so it was not on the typical barcelona citymap. it was too far to walk from the centre and the metros typically work until midnight.

for other travelers: the hotel is next to the hospital in sant joan despi (tram t3 or bus 157 or ...)

Pros: Very helpful staff as well as it's proximity to public transport services.
Cons: The directions to get to the hotel from the airport are not too good. someone should mention that there is a bus service (l77) direct from the airport to a stop near the hotel.

Pros: Great hotel for families or large parties: seperate bedrooms+kitchenette. quiet neighborhood and easy to find free parking. the staff were helpful and professional. the tram-metro was with easy walking distance and reasonable priced with the 10 coupon book. i recommend the hotel and i would stay again (we were a family of 5).
Cons: Nothing negative, but have good directions on hand if you're driving to the hotel.

Pros: We had an excelent stay, my son loves the pool and also it is very easy to get into the centre of barcelona by car and its nice and quite on a night time.
Cons: The only thing that was missing out of our room was the microwave and when we asked we where told that you dont get a microwave on the first floor but we did last year.

Pros: We would not have found it without a satnav, as the maze of highways in the area is quite intimidating. it was not as close to the airport as i expected, but it suited our needs for the night prior to flying out of barcelona. it is not recommended for anyone who wants to be in the hubub of the city, as very little happens there.

Cons: Noisy outside so had to sleep with window shut very hard to find coming by train luckily we met two very nice local people who drove us to the hotel!!

Pros: Too perfect a hotel is! especially lowest price for the spacious, quiet and neat room they have offered. convenient to centre of barcelona via tram t2 or t3 with 15-20 min. it's right beside the terminal bus stop of l77 that runs to barcelona airport with ~40 min with 1.40 eur.

i especially like the hotel because at the back of the hotel there's a chinese restaurant and the boss comes from my hometown in china.
Cons: There's no much detailed information available for traffic around the hotel either on the website or via google. so that i paid extra money to took a taxi from airport to the hotel on my first day of arriving in barcelona. the hotel could be more popular if the manager adds all the handy information to the website.
i expected to use the swimming pool, but finally found it's only open during summer time, june 15 to september 15. it's a pity for that.

Pros: Rooms are spacious, they have a small kitchen and living room, with balcony. we loved it. it is half an hour far from downtown, but it has good tram and metro connections. we enjoyed the public transportation system of barcelona.

Pros: I thought the hotel was great! it was very spacious with a living room, a bedroom, and even a balcony with a nice view. it was also very clean. the food at the restaurant was also delicious for a great price. the hotel staff was also very attentive and polite.
Cons: The only drawback of the hotel is the distance from downtown. it takes about 45 minutes to get there and you have to take 2 methods of transit.

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay at the hesperia sant joan suites. the room was clean, the view was stunning, the beds were extremely comfortable. we have stayed in barcelona city centre most times we have visited so this was first time we were a bit further afield. the public transport system is so good that we hardly noticed the distance between the hotel and the centre of town. would recommend it to people who are comforatable with the metro/tram/bus system in the city.

Pros: The good thing during our stay was the proximity of the number 3 tramway line (300m), but the problem was the bus and tramway workers strike!!!
always a good thing to read the posters to know about vagua,huelga and other strikes...
Cons: This hotel is not so easy to find if you don't have a gps
