One thing to know about this hotel is its great location for anyone looking for a historically significant environment. Vía Laietana is one of the most important city streets, but the hotel's location, at the corner with Carrer Boria, right next to the Gothic Quarter and the Barcelona cathedral is truly excellent.

This is one of the best places to start a number of sight-seeing tours and visit important attractions like the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Rambla, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Picasso Museum. The night-life in this area is also highly popular, marked by some of the best exponents of both traditional and modern cuisine and many chic bars.

By train: A convenient train service will take you from the El Prat airport to Passeig de Gracia. The hotel is 10 minutes on foot from there.

By bus: The Airbus line offers frequent connections from El Prat airport to Plaça Catalunya. The ride takes 30 minutes.

By car: Entering Barcelona from the Ronda Litoral, exit at Passeig de Colon and continue along Via Laietana avenue, where the hotel is located.

By ship: From the Barcelona harbour you can take the underground line 3 at Drassanes station and get off at Plaça Catalunya station.

On arrival we received a lovely glass of champaign and we asked for the floor which we would like. we asked for 9th floor as it is on a busy road not that this would concern me normally but if you have the choice why not.
Would have appreciated tea and coffee facilities and the windows dont open in any of the rooms which is slightly concerning if there was a fire etc

Great location, welcome checkin and had we known the breakfast was so impressive would have gone in both days. would recommend on location alone everything else was a bonus.
Although the beds were comfortable they could have been more sturdy.

I was given a bottle of cava to celebrate my fiftieth birthday, a very welcome suprise.
My wife would have liked a kettle in the room as she neds a cup of tea first thing on a morning.

You need to make it very clear how the discount parking works and how to get to the right car park. we were mis-directed plus wrongly advised by the hotel staff. after some debate and thankfully my ability to speak spanish we were charged a reduced parking rate by the hotel, only tobe told by parking staff that we had to pay again as we had been sent to the wrong car park. this meant that we had to return to the hotel to get a refund, which delaid us arriving at the airport. had i not been a pilot we would have been refused boarding and had to take a later flight at additional cost. parking is a major problem as is off loading luggage outside the hotel.

Very unfriendly, rude and arrogant reception staff on check out due to error with departure date, we were under the impression that we were checking out on the sat 23rd as this was a travelzoo offer of 3 nights, they were not understanding very harsh and said we had to pay 50 euros for late checkout, the whole stay should have only been £118 so we were very upset. the staff were rude, nasty and basically ruined our stay in barcelona as this was a very bad way to end a romantic break which were really enjoying. would never use h10 hotels again.

We found on arrival we had no reservation and wated 40 minutes sorting problem. 4 p.m. seems rather late for room to be made up. as stay was a gift to my husband it was unfortunate that paymnt had not been taken and my husband had to use his credit card as apparently (although the same account) mine was worn out. another 30 minutes to sort!!!!

Great hotel, fantastic central location. lovely views of the cathedral from the roof top bar. the breakfast was of a very high standard and included pretty much anything you would want. the hotel staff were friendly and very helpful. would recommend this hotel.
Roof top bar didn't appear to be open at any time during our stay.
