One thing to know about this hotel is its great location for anyone looking for a historically significant environment. Vía Laietana is one of the most important city streets, but the hotel's location, at the corner with Carrer Boria, right next to the Gothic Quarter and the Barcelona cathedral is truly excellent.

This is one of the best places to start a number of sight-seeing tours and visit important attractions like the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Rambla, the Palau de la Música Catalana and the Picasso Museum. The night-life in this area is also highly popular, marked by some of the best exponents of both traditional and modern cuisine and many chic bars.

H10 Montcada hotel is situated in the center of Barcelona, in a privileged location ideal to start visiting the city, close to Plaça Catalunya, Las Ramblas and all kind of shops, bars and restaurants.

By train: A convenient train service will take you from the El Prat airport to Passeig de Gracia. The hotel is 10 minutes on foot from there.

By bus: The Airbus line offers frequent connections from El Prat airport to Plaça Catalunya. The ride takes 30 minutes.

By car:
Entering Barcelona from the Ronda Litoral, exit at Passeig de Colon and continue along Via Laietana avenue, where the hotel is located.

By ship: From the Barcelona harbour you can take the underground line 3 at Drassanes station and get off at Plaça Catalunya station.

I particularly liked the location. the rooms were very clean, and the maids were very pleasant. i could notice that they also spoke english and were prompt to clean rooms when requested. i regret i did not have extra change to live for them
For breakfast, frankly i did not care too much getting my coffee from a coffee machine. all guests had to line up. it maybe better to have servers providing coffee at the table. coffee can be brewed. the other thing i did not understand is that the hotel did not want to take my travel checks as a mode of payment. most hotels take american express travel checks. you may not be aware, but many countries still limit people from carrying too much cash with them while traveling. for some country, the limit is 1000 euros. the other thing that surprised me is that they required me to pay at the registration before taking up the room. typically, you put a credit card on hold (which is what is said when booking the hotel on the internet), and clear the amount when you check out. here they wanted to deduct my card as i was registrating. i ended up paying cash upfront. i stayed at laflorida in tibidago a few days earlier, and there was no problem for them to accept my travel checks

Helpful,friendly reception staff. the champagne on arrival was a nice touch. good views from roof terrace and a fairly peaceful area in the middle of a busy city.
The bar terrace was not open but it was possible to purchase drinks in the downstairs bar and take them up. the drinks are not cheap.

Staff extremely helpful, breakfast excellent and location brilliant.
The bed was the most uncomfortable bed i have ever slept on. we did complain about this ony to be told @yes we jer that a lot'. sadly this would stop me from staying at the hotel again until i could be reassured they had done something about the beds.

Great staff, friendly and helpful
The weather meant the facilities we booked for were out of use, i.e outdoor jacuzzi and bar. these were the attractive qualities of hotel on booking.

Where in the world you're asked to pay for all your staying in advance?i don't expect to pay all this money for a cubicle but for a proper 4 star hotel room.the building was vibrating when the lifts were in use, it's incredibly noisy. there are no dining facilities in the hotel - the topic bar was not open.there was no manager presence in the hotel where we could have refer our comments and complaints. no actions were taken after we demanded a several things.very disappointed, our whole staing was ruined.

Clean and friendly and in a good location.
Once breakfast was finished, there was nowhere to get a snack, lunch or a drink till 4pm. double room was quite small.

The rooftop terrace with the comfy seats and the fabulous view is great and so is the free bottle of cava and the strawberries. nice idea! breakfast buffet is really nice, we enjoyed the beautiful fruit variety. coffee was soso, could be improved.
We had to pay the full amount of the three nights when we arrived. this had not been indicated on your website and is in our view quite unsual practice. we travel a lot and never have to pay upfront. this lead to quite some discussion!

Th eroom was not great for the price paid, but the staff was fantastic. they were always extremely warm, friendly and helpful. the location of the hotel was excellent. it was in a prime location to walk to many of the popular areas, while not being in teh height of the hustle and bustle. the roof top als had an excellent view, and it had a jaccuzzi.
The room was overpriced.

The glass of cava on arrival is very welcoming & the breakfast is lovely.
Prices of drinks on the roof terrace are very expensive, cup of tea & 1/2 larger = 10 euros! :-(

H10 montcada was exvellent for us. brilliant location good parking underground very close. excellent staff. first class breakfast. lovely champagne and strawberries whilst viewing the skyline from the 9th floor terrace. our first booking via easytobook - we will use them again if this is the standard we can expect.

The hotel was in a perfect location in the heart of the gothic quarter. the location was perfect for our stay.the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. excellent breakfast.
