Service was good and staff very friendly. Breakfas was excellent and good value. Hotel and rooms very clean and location perfect for walking and public transport. Reception were welcoming and helpful.

"Raco del Pi"

Very pleased generally with the service and room. We booked a standard double, this was two large singles, this was no problem.Great location, we did not use transport very often as we were so close to most places we wanted to go.Overall we would recommend and return, if we decide to return to Barcelona.Were woken a couple of times approx.4.00am by early departures/ arrivals. Breakfast was a disappointment, we were offered a half price deal on arrival, went for breakfast at 10.00am first morning, we had arrived late the previous night, there was not a lot left from which to choose. We therefore cancelled breakfast, from then on we used a local cafe few doors down from the hotel and enjoyed meeting the locals and breakfast at a much better price.

"Perfect Hotel for our stay"

My Son and i stayed on a short trip to take in Camp nue and Sagrada Familia and whet ever else we could in the time. Can not fault the hotel for the great staff, location, cleanliness , rooms or overall quality. Breakfast was good, with a broad range of food available. The only two concerns were:1) no tea and coffe in the room, although they are available in the bar FOC for most of the day2) The room was so hot! In February we slept both nights with the window wide open, and were still hot! Dont worry about the lack of blankets! I am sure the air con would deal with this in the warmer months of the year once it is on. Dont let these two points put you off!Thanks again to all the staff for a great stay!

"Wedding anniversary weekend in Barcelona"

The hotel was ideally placed near the Rambla and bars / restaurants etc. The staff very helpful, service was excellent as was the breakfast service. We would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Barcelona.

"Great stay in fab location"

The location is possibly the best thing about this hotel. However the room was really lovely (a lot bigger than many we have stayed in), it was spotlessly clean and the breakfast was excellent too. We have already recommended this hotel to family and friends and would definitely stay there again.

"Recommended"

Great location - very central and close to good bars and restaurants. Delightful staff who were helpful in all respects. Given cava one evening as it was Christmas time! Great breakfast too. Highly recommended and value for money.

"Great hotel shame about the room"

Everthing was fantastic about the hotel except we had an attic room without a proper window- there was an opening with a levered half sort of window at floor level. The hotel was warm which meant our room was boiling. The staff were sympathetic and provided us with a remote control to operate the air conditioning, not normally included at this time of year. We did need to keep the air con on all the time we were in the room to remain comfortable. I'm sure if we were in a room on floors 1,2 or 3 everything would have been perfect although we did read in the visitors book that rooms number 6 on all floors were noisy as they were next to the lift shaft.

"great stay in Barcelona"

great location, a little noisy but worth it for the atmosphere, nice clean room, staff could have been a little more helpful re places to go to eat and activities to see. We were there during the Barcelona festival but only seemed to accidentally happen to see the great things on as there was no offer of a program or any suggestions from desk staff. That being said we would definitely go back.

The hotel location is great. The rooms are clean and the staff is helpful. The double room with a baby cot is rather tigh.

"Clean and very good location"

This hotel has a great location in the old centre Barri Gotic. Near to the Ramblas and Plaza de Cateluna. The rooms were clean, the employees were friendly and breakfast was fine. Only two let downs concerning this hotel. The beds were so hard that you could also have been sleeping on the ground and second; i booked this hotel 5 months prior of arrival and requested two rooms with twin beds. When we arrived they said that all rooms with twin beds were allready taken which seemed strange because i booked a long time ago. The only option was paying 80 euro for other rooms that did have twin beds. When we protested the price went down to 40 euro. What can you do? We wanted twin beds so we accepted paying 40 euro. But it left a bit of a strange feeling, the roomchange wasn't updated in the computer and we didn't receive an invoice for these 40 euro. It seemed like a trick they play on tourists to earn a little extra money. Leaves a bit of a negative feeling towards this hotel.

An attractive Barcelona hotel in the Gothic Quarter, close to Las Ramblas, with excellent access across the city centre.

This Barcelona hotel really does have an excellent city centre location, perched in the Gothic Quarter, within easy reach of a plethora of monuments and tourist attractions. Following Las Ramblas south leads to Port Vell, Estatua de Colon and l’Aquarium de Barcelona, whilst travelling in a northerly direction leads to Plaça de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia. The Gothic Quarter itself holds many attractions such as La Seu Cathedral, Museu Picasso and Plaça de Santa Maria del Mar. For access to further destinations such as Nou Camp Stadium, Sagrada Familia and Parc de Montjuic, Liceu metro station is a five minute walk from the hotel and connects across the city.
