How to reach the HLG City Pelayo Hotel?From Barcelona-El Prat International airport, by bus: Take the Aerobus outside the airport and get off at Plaça Catalunya. Once here take the metro L2 purple-line, towards "Paral-lel" and get off at "Universitat" station . The hotel is at walking distance from the station. The Aerobus service normally runs every 15-minutes. You can catch it from outside all 3 airport terminals.
From Barcelona-El Prat International airport, by Train: Take the RENFE train R10 to "Passeig de Gràcia" train station. Once there take the metro L2 purple-line, towards "Paral-lel" and get off at "Universitat" station. The hotel is at walking distance from the station.

It is a nice hotel perfectly located in the heart of the city. i was happy with the choice. i would recommend it to my friends and would choose it if that is not any special occasion next time =)
I stayed 4 days and my room was cleaned only once on the first night, as you imagine it was total mess on the 3rd day =(Anonymous

Excellant location, clean and serviceableThere were no tea or coffee making facilities as stated on booking when asked we were told it must be broken, however we booked two rooms and neither had this. we booked an early morning call for our flight which we didnt receive and found the receptionist asleep when we came downstair. fortuneatly we had woken ourselvesAnonymous

Good staff. good location.Small room and noise!: carpet needed in hallways and rooms. lost some sleep due to noise. if another quieter hotel is available next time i visit barc, i would stay there.Anonymous

The front-desk stqff were incredibly helpful and courteous. they assisted in many ways to make our stay enjoyable. i was very impressed with all of the staff i met during our stay...their english was outstanding, which really assisted us initially. i can't speak highly enough of the staff at this hotel.Anonymous

Although the room was very small it had everything we needed and was kept wonderfully clean. the aircon worked very well and is the quietest one i have come across in a long time!There is slight street noise but if you're a light sleeper like me just take ear plugs, they work a treat!Anonymous

the location of the hotel is central. This hotel is not a good value for the money. we've stayed in may and paid a wooping 140 euro for this very basic hotel without breakfast. tiny room stipped down to the bare bones: two twin beds pushed together, no table, dirty old chair in the corner and an aircon that is tuned off at night (when you need it the most). dirty old carpet, no pictures on the walls, the room is the size of the bed - no place to put two suitcases. just depressing.
reseption staff varies. none speak good english, but some are friendlier than others. if you are on a romantic trip to barca, try finding something nicer. Anonymous

breakfast lounge was bit unpleasant: subzero without any direct light. we decided to have breakfast outside on a terras nearby, a far better choice.Anonymous

Location was great. day staff were very helpfull. room was clean.Night staff were...example: "could we have two extra pillows?" reply "not possible" "but could you leave a message for the cleaners to leave two extra ones in the morning?" "no!...not possible". it was only a small thing but it left an impression. oh and the coffee machine never worked but lets face it...neither of those things are the end of the world when you are with a beautiful woman who makes you smile just by looking into her eyes.
