Description
Hostal Centric is a small hostel surrounded by a cosy and friendly atmosphere. The hostel is close to commercial areas, cafés, bars, restaurants and local entertainment. The hostel is located in the center of Barcelona, just a few minutes from the Ramblas, and the main tourist sites. From Hostal Centric all of Barcelona is practically at your doorstep. There is no breakfast, but around the hostal you can find a lot of nice cafés, bars and restaurants. Hostal Centric Barcelona has parking facilities in a garage close to Barcelona Centric Hostal but this is not included in the room rates. All of the Hostal Centric’s twin and single rooms offer ensuite facilities and a TV; the Superior rooms have air conditioning/heating, the Standard rooms have a fan/heating. You can also request additional beds in the twin rooms.

Close to the heart of barcelona. room was comfortable with private facilities.
Mutton done up as lamb - it was a hostel trying to be a hotel. service was lacking - could not provide a plug for the bath and the photocopier was broken so had to carry passports in the most dangerous city for petty crime in europe. curtains were hanging off the rails and had to use a clip to close them to provide some privacy.Anonymous

Fab location, 1 stop/easy walking distance from plaza catalunya, and only little further to bus station. hotel feels secure and has some nice communal areas.Some problem with the reservation meant that on check in we were offered a diffrenrt room on the 5th floor-but was discounted and stairs no problem. some tea/coffee making facilities would have made the stay perfectAnonymous

Ricordate che si tratta sempre di uno ostello, le camere non sono tutte uguali, noi ne abbiamo prenotate due, una al secondo piano era una catapecchia, l'altra al quarto era molto carina e accogliente....ma....occhio alle scale sono ripide e piccolissime...ps niente ascensore!!!!Anonymous

Staff, particularly the young man on duty when we arrived in the early hours, were very friendly and helpful. room was clean and comfortable. Noisy english party on the same floor as us, hammering on doors and shouting at about 3am.Anonymous

Since i was unable to book a room at my hotel in barcelona for the first day, the hostal centric was a life-saver. The hotel was unable to find my reservation, which i had made online. i later found the email referencing this reservation, but at least i was able to stay there one night until my reservation at hotel diagonal was good. The staff was very nice and helped with every question. at least 2 of them spoke german, even though i speak english i enjoyed this easy way of communication. As described there is no lift in the house. the staircase is extremely narrow and precipitous also, with big or heavy luggage or if you have problems using stairs you should not use this hotel. Reception staff were very helpful. they all spoke enough english to assist us as we did not speak spanish.We booked a room with plenty of time up to our stay hoping for a room with a balcony and a view as stated on the internet but we had a ground floor with no view. this was not all bad as the hostel had no lift so we did not have to carry our suitcases up the stairss but this could have been better explained in the website.Mr Thomas Close

The hostal centric was fine, central and most important clean, lovely clean sheets. but it was basic with no frills and more than adequate for our needs as we didn't spend a great of deal of time there. there was no tea making facilities which i missed but it wasn't too much of a problem as we took our own kettle. the staff we very pleasant and friendly. the web page was very accurate it "did what it said on the tin" so to speak. overall no complaints.A lift would have been nice and tea making facilities.Anonymous

Nice enough low cost hotel in an interesting part of barcelona. quiet, Bring an alarm clock, no wake up calls, confirm reservations, they only had one night of three on their books, and only one room of two reserved. english was spoken, staff was young and friendly. Anonymous
