Located in the center of Barcelona, just a few minutes from the Ramblas and the main tourist attractions, all of Barcelona is practically on your doorstep when you stay at Hostal Centric.
Barcelona's Old city is, without doubt, one of the nicest and most romantic cities in Europe. Its small streets and little shops, everything invites you to wander around, getting to know every place of this charming area. It is more quiet and more homey than some of the busy, bustling parts of the city. You are still close enough to all the things in the city but you are not directly in the middle of the busiest parts of town.

How to reach the hostel
By car: If you enter the city on Diagonal Avenue, drive straight until you reach Francesc Macia Plaza. Get into the right lane so that you can make the first right, onto Villarroel Street. Continue straight, passing Gran Via. 2 blocks after Gran Via you will reach Floridablanca. Continue straight on Floridablanca. The first street on the left is Casanova.
By metro: You can take the green line (#3) from SANTS ESTACIO. Get off at Plaza Espanya, and transfer to the red line (#1). Get off at Placa Universitat.
By plane: There is a train stop in the airport. The fare is 3 € and it runs every 30 minutes. The closest stop to the Centric Hostel is PLACA CATALUNYA.

The location of the hotel is good, near to the underground station ( university )and placa catalunya. even the hostal and the room is very modest, but the room and bathroom is well cleaned. this hostal is good for the tourists, who wants to have a clean bed for the evening.
A small fridge would make the room more confortable.SPICER

The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful to us throughout our stay.Perhaps the staireways could have a grip/rubber matting on them as they were very narrow and steep and was little damngerous if your flip flops were wet.Anonymous

Hostal centric is more like a hotel than a hostel. we stayed in a standard twin room on the 5th floor, no lift but was good exercise! the room was completely spotless, even had a seperate bedroom and a spare bed in the living area. the maids were there everyday with clean towels and the staff were very helpful. great location, can easily walk anywhere from here. will definately go back again. Nothing negative, hostal centric is better than some hotels i've stayed in. Miles

Close to the heart of barcelona. room was comfortable with private facilities.Mutton done up as lamb - it was a hostel trying to be a hotel. service was lacking - could not provide a plug for the bath and the photocopier was broken so had to carry passports in the most dangerous city for petty crime in europe. curtains were hanging off the rails and had to use a clip to close them to provide some privacy.
