Reception staff very helpful. Room clean and with more than enough cupboard and drawer space, the beds were exceptionally comfortable - felt as if was in my own bed. Location was good with only short walk to Las Ramblas and to Metro and to the Aerobus, lots of local bars and cafes in the vacininty. The best thing about the hostel was the beds, the worst thing was the coffee machine - it was stocked with hot chocolate in every slot, so thats all you got, thankfully there is a lovely bakery 2 doors away that serves coffee to go, this was great in the morning as no coffee facilities in the room. All in all an excellent 3 night stay and no complaints.

Pros: Hotel was central within walking distance staff were pleasent and helpful.would recommend getting the bus to the hotel from the airport as is easier than the train.basic facilites which is to be expected, room was cleaned everyday with fresh towels every morning. safe in room as well.

Pros: We are a couple in our 70's who chose hostal centric from reviews read which were very helpful as we had not stayed in barcelona before. we booked a superior twin room and were very pleased with it- large, clean and bright, on the 1st floor so not far to walk up with small cases. the bathroom was a pleasant surprise, big towels, soap and shampoo. there is a little grocers' next door and a cafe a couple of doors up with delicious coffee. buses and the metro handy but we walked down las ramblas to the port and around much of the city which is beautiful. everyone we met was friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 days. if we have the chance to return to barcelona, we will definitely stay at hostal centric again. thank you for a pleasurable stay. rose

Pros: The daytime employee in charge was most helpful and it was a peasure to deal with him. we would come back as we found the location ideal for us.
Cons: Somehow on the website where we booked it did not give us the option to request a double/queen bed and we ended up with 2 single beds. they were however made into one bed the next day which was very kind of them.
