 "Value for money"
You cant go wrong booking yourself into this hotel. its definitely value for money. nice rooms with private baths - be sure to get one that is facing one of the streets, nice part of town, public transport nearby

 "Great Value, brilliant hostal - watch out for the parking!"
Hostal was fantastic, really clean and very secure. No complaints although would have liked a kettle in the room. Great location to all attractions and staff were very helpfull. Barcelona parking VERY expensive - even with discount! Dont drive in if you dont have too!! Brilliant Hostal! Highly recommended.

 "Excellent value for money"
Although the room was a bit smaller that expected, it was very clean,confortable and modern.Very well located close to one of the main streets in Barcelona.I did not like the self check in since I am used to the front desk people at the reception

The room is tiny, but clean and pleasant. The shower and WC is opposite and OK. The personnel is pleasant and professional.Disadvantages: There is no table and kitchen in the hostel.The room is not warm enough.The walls are rather thin.

 "Clean, comfortable, but basic"
The location was great, an easy walk to metro, shopping, Gaudi houses and about 20-25 mins to La Sagrada Familia. All was clean an recently refurbished, good white towels and linen provided. The reception staff were courteous, but not gushing - perhaps a little more freindliness might have been appreciated. My code to get in didn't work, but there was someone on reception - perhaps it might have had there been no-one. Big lockers to secure luggage on the last day - a great help. Negatives: noisy neighbours and no staff to shut them up; no-where to hang clothes, not even a hook; good wifi, but not even a small laptop table. No evidence of the aircon that was mentioned. Decent value for money.

 "for 2 nights very okay"
the very small room was recently renovated and ok for a 2 days trip. Compared with the building outside they are perfect. The location is 2 km northern from Ramblas. Nevertheless a lot of bars around.

 "Pristine but loud"
The room was beautiful, and bigger than expected for a hotel of this nature. Everything was white and very clean. Maid service was promised every three days, but someone came to change towels, etc every day.The only downside is that the hotel is on a street with many bars, and the street gets VERY noisy late at night -- in Spain, that can mean starting around 11pm and lasting until 5am, at least on weekends.

Pros: Overall both the room and the bathroom was clean and decent. we were never disturbed by other guests. the location is good.
Cons: The room was so much smaller than expected. toilet in the hallway which wasn't clear from the description. the room was very warm, hope they have air conditioning in the summer. it was quite noisy outside.

Cons: Its slghtly difficult to locate the hotel. no english channels on tv. some noise in the morning when cleaning was going on.

Important information & conditions:

The front desk is opened from 7:30 to 15:30 and from 23:00 to 7:00 from Monday to Sunday.
To open the main door, you must enter the code (four last digits of the reservation) on the keypad. In the hall of the building you will find a check-in machine. You'll need to have your passport or identity card and your credit card to fullfill the rest of the payment. Once the payment is made, the check-in machine will give you the room key.
