The location is great. We heard absolutely no noise at night, so we slept fine. The rooms are what you would expect for this price, very clean and great if you only plan to stay in de room when you are going to sleep at night. The service at the front desk wasn't that great. If you want your key or something simple they are fine but when you ask for timetables for the bus than they have no idea and don't look it up for you. But we had a great time in Barcelona and this hotel.

"Hostal operaramblas"
It is a good hostal for a few nights, cheap and modest. The only thing I'm not satisfied of is the airconditioning. The airconditioning is nog working in March, so it was very warm (too warm) in the room, especially at night.

Pros: The most positive thing is location, very close to metro and to airbus station. staff was also quite friendly. nice restaurants, vine shops and market are just around the corner.
Cons: Very-very thin walls, every whisper during a day and snore during night sounded like in my own room. also there was no tv or little refrigerator in the room - but it is my own fault not to check it out before making a room-reservation (usually everywhere i have stayed there had always been these things present). bathroom sink was leaking, but they kept trash can under the pipe so all water dripped mostly on the trash can´s cover and not so much on the floor. on the whole i have stayed in better hotels with the same budget, but it could easily be worse too.
