Cons: There are a few minor negatives but i would advise that you don't focus on these as the good things far out way the bad things. heres my list of minor things i would change: 1: storgae - we were only staying for three nights yet there wasn't really enough storage for us. everything that looked like it couldv'e been storage was used for something else, like the massive cupboard which had the fridge in, or the bedside table which could have had drawers but didn't. we had to leave all out clothes etc on view which looked a bit messy, we could have done with a proper wardrobe and some coupboards. we also needed more coat hangers, alot more. 2: lighting - even though the lighting was very nice in both the room and bathroom, it was more mood lighting and not very practical. i found it very hard to do my hair and make-up as the lights were too bright, especially around the mirror in the bathroom. we really needed to be able to turn off lights individually rather than the current set up where you can have them all on or all off. i would also suggest having dimmers. the lights on the balcony didn't work which was a shame. 3: safety - this was the biggest issue for me. there was no bath mat inside or outside the shower and the floor was very slippy, i could have easily fell over a few times. there really needed to be one inside and outside the shower, and i would have liked to have something to hold on to insude the shower incase i did slip. the other problem with safety was on the balcony, the fencing was too low, especially being so high, if you came back drunk you could easily fall over the fence, and if you were a child you could easily jump over it. please make it higher!! the other few things i would like to mention are: we ordered in pizza from the menu in the room, it was horrible. we would reccommend the rest of the room service but we would liked to be able to order breakfast to our room, and have had a bit more choice on the general menu. we would've liked a tea and coffee service in the room. there was a broken tile in the bathroom which was a bit dangerous and needs fixing. the cleaners need to learn to knock on the door before letting themselves in as they walked in on me in my dressing gown. we would've liked dressing gowns and slippers to be offered as an added extra so we didn't have to bring our own. we would have liked more than one mirror in the room so we didn't have to take it in turns getting ready. and finally, please please change the bathroom doors as at the moment they are swinging doors and it made it quite awkward to go to the toilet, we would have preferred it to be a full length door, thicker and with a lock although we did like the green of the door which went with the theme on the room. one other thing we would have loved to have seen which other hotels in the area had was a roof terrace restaurant with live entertainment, its not a negative that there isn't one, it'd just be great if you did have one. overall, these comments are only tiny negatives and i will definately stay with you again as i loved every minute and it was perfect for us!!!! thank you for a great stay, 9.9 out of 10!!!
Cons: There was no one in the bar at all on any of the 3 days so there wasn't much atmosphere
Cons: The room was small and the bathroom was two cubicles in the room. there was not a bath. the was no coffee making facilities and the key didn't work when we arrived. the tv channels were all spanish and i got mire for my money at hilton.
extremely pleased with choice made and would have no hesitation in going back there in the future. great location, spacious and clean room and excellent breakfast.
Cons: Nothing at all.
the staff was quite helpful, friendly and spoke english well enough. ask for discount tickets for bus tours or other sightseeing activities. none of the staff volunteered any information (not necessarily their fault since they didn’t know the reason for our visit, but could have asked, just as we could have). since we didn’t ask we didn’t find out until our last day there that discount ticket booklets are available for most of the sightseeing attractions.
plenty of good café’s and restaurants very near the hotel – look around and don’t stop at the first or second one you find since another is around the corner.
i tripped a breaker (bad plug on my computer cord) late at night so we were without power and called the desk to have the breaker re-set since i couldn’t find the box, but the night clerk didn’t know where to look either. he offered us another room right away. i told him not to worry since we were going to bed anyway, but he insisted on us changing rooms. he was clearly concerned about our room not having power and wouldn’t accept us staying in that room. i finally convinced him to leave saying someone could look the next day and not to bother anyone at the late hour (although he had already made several phone calls for help). i found the box after he left (in the ceiling in the bathroom) and re-set the breaker myself. very responsive service.
nice outdoor patio on the top floors with chairs and table for late afternoon or evening relaxing while looking over the city (room 701).
Cons: Not much negative to say, actually. we had way more luggage than normal folks, so the room was a bit small given the number of large bags we had. a coat hook on the door would be nice. hotel food and bar prices seemed expensive with all the other nearby places to eat but in hindsight breakfast may have actually been less expensive since you only paid one price and if included in the room was an even better deal. the breakfast buffet offered a good variety although we never ate there.
Cons: The bar was not open for the days that i was there owing to one member of staff being off sick! this is very poor in my opinion.
Cons: Bed was very hard and uncomfortable (room 310); woke up with sore back and hips. bed was also very noisy when turning over. expensive bar - €8 for a shot of havana bacardi.
Cons: No wash cloths for the shower.
Cons: Television. would have like more programmes other than news, just for relaxation purposes
