"Good value"

I stayed at the Viladomat in February for a long weekend. it is about 20 minutes walk away from the rambles, but has also an underground station nearby and several bus lines to the centre. Overall great service, clean and quiet rooms, friendly and helpful staff - i can absolutely recommend it.

Pros: Hotel staff very helpfull, polite, our double room was fairly big and clean, air-conditioning worked perfectly. price in total was exactly as it was stated when booking via "easytobook" web site. walking distance to the centre of barcelona, good restaurants near by, walking distance to metro and aiport shuttle bus.
Cons: Thought that breakfast was to expensive, therefore ate out!

Pros: Reception and restaurant staff were kind and friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, and spoke excellent english. bathroom felt luxurious for a three-star hotel. breakfast buffet was excellent, and we liked that it wasn't included in the fee for the room, which we felt gave us more freedom to plan our days. we had it on two out of four days and were very pleased with it.
Cons: The first time we entered our room, the light inside the hall went out. we asked for it to be replaced, but this never happened during our stay. we survived without it, but it would have been nice to have. we feel we should only have to ask once for a light bulb to be repplaced. the fact that we would have been forced to complain several times before something trivial like this were to be done was quite disappointing. however, the overall experience didn't suffer very much from this.
